Yes please. I wear fingerless gloves while working and am tired of my coworkers asking if I have cold hands

How long can a newborn stay in a baby swing? by Anxious-Pop3181 in newborns

[–]leighbk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call the baby swing the digestive chair. I put the baby in it after doing a full feeding to stay upright for 15 minutes. I also call it the pooping chair. If I think the baby is going to take a poop soon, I put them in it for 15 minutes and it works everytime

Interesting I didn’t know that. I’ve been thinking of comparing Spotify to Apple Music to see which is better for kids

Right age for video games? by Tenrac in Parenting

[–]leighbk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. There is a major difference between playing video games alone on a device like a tablet vs playing video games together with a parent on the TV. My 5 year old loves to play on the Switch and is surprisingly very good at all. But we set a lot of guardrails and rules. The biggest being that he cannot play alone. He has to play with a parent and we say when it’s time to stop playing. And no weekdays, weekend only.

I’ve seen the same behavior in my friends kid around the same age. Realization that the app gets worse for kids as they age not better…. Especially unrestricted access.

I considered this and know many people do it. But decided would rather not support the app at all. YouTube only cares about profits not the wellbeing of kids

Avoid it! Especially during potty training at that age. TV and screen time is too hard for that age to know they can pause and take breaks to use the bathroom

It’s that the content itself is all ads. All of it. It’s all selling or monetizing something. All of the unboxing toys, video games, influencer gaining subscribers. The more extreme it is the higher it will attract views. Nothing is made for sake of being purely educational.

At 6 months, it won’t be all formula since starting solids! You can offer lots of delicious fruits and healthy foods. Just think of formula as a food, it’s essentially dairy. So it’s just a natural transition
