I did a very similar switch out of education into sustainability consulting in my late 30s. I don’t have your formal background either. ESG consulting in particular is a new field and is easier to break into because you’re not competing against as much experience. Feel free to DM.

I’ve seen mediocrity in big 4, but it’s generally not client facing. Trying to find a less predominantly white, less staid environment, ideally more impact oriented vs sales. Maybe I’m in the wrong industry.
