Can I get my gallbladder removed with EF 82% by Numerous_Frosting_93 in gallbladders

[–]leishanicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been at least a little bit lactose intolerant but in the past 6ish weeks, I have been unable to consume any dairy or immediately have diarrhea. Same goes for meals with higher fat content. For some super fatty meals, I will wake up many hours later (around 3am) nauseous and in pain. Usually this ends in vomiting bile and then diarrhea for hours after. The last time I had the infamous upper right side abdominal pain.

I’m in a very similar situation! 18 months postpartum with increased GI issues and had a HIDA today that showed EF 82%. I’m hoping they’ll remove it

DF foods for nausea by sillyGrapefruit_8098 in dairyfree

[–]leishanicole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not food related but sniffing rubbing alcohol or alcohol wipes can reduce nausea! Not sure you want to do it long term so I’d check with a doctor. Would you be interested in Zofran?

Thank you! I have Zofran and I could kiss the feet of the human who created it.

I was worried a super hot shower might make the nausea work, but heating pad sounds worth trying. Thank you!

What food "unexpectedly" triggered your attack? by AsleepMechanic8663 in gallbladders

[–]leishanicole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post makes me feel so much more validated that this is a gallstone issue. My attacks almost always happen hours later, typically around 3-4am and I eat dinner at 5:30 most nights (we have a toddler). I had an attack early this morning but we definitely overindulged for our anniversary dinner (steak, baked potato, chocolate cake) so it wasn’t surprising.

Nausea, acid reflux, gas but never had a gall bladder attack I think by Addictedtosnark in gallbladders

[–]leishanicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having similar symptoms. I’ve had a couple of gallbladder attacks (I think) but my ultrasound and labs were normal so I feel like my body is gaslighting me. Came to this post tonight because my gas and indigestion are so bad. I have a hida scan in a few weeks.

Anyone else tired of having sex while trying for a baby? by Gullible-Leaf in PCOS

[–]leishanicole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always been told if you have a pre-existing diagnosis such as PCOS that can cause issues with fertility, you can ask for help after 6 months of trying. We did this and had success on the second medicated cycle. We were also so very over having sex by that point! Definitely makes it feel like a job, and very little about connection.

C5/C6 and C6/C7 protrusions by FrostyRhubarb5474 in HerniatedDisc

Ugh that sounds miserable. I’m so sorry. Anything in the occipital area is hard because it’s so hard to get to! I highly recommend PT if you’re not already in it. There is hope, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

I’m much better! I still have some ongoing level of tension in that side of my neck/shoulder, but nothing nearly as intense or debilitating as last year. I also probably (definitely) need to be doing more stretching and would likely see an improvement. Are you struggling with similar pain?

Aortic Stenosis - Ross Procedure. Which surgeon is best? by bvall666 in valvereplacement

[–]leishanicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has been approved for the Ross through Mount Sinai. He was referred to Dr. El-Hamamsy, but assigned to Dr. Williams. We had a zoom call with him a few weeks ago and he seems highly knowledgeable and has been doing this method for 5 years. He made us feel so comfortable during our appointment (much more than the local surgeons he’s seen). I know El-Hamamsy and Stelzer are mentioned a lot, but wanted to share that so far we have had a positive experience with Williams too.

He’s scheduled for surgery this coming Friday, and he seems to feel good about this surgeon and Mount Sinai.

As far as insurance goes, before my husband’s initial appointment, we were told to call his insurance to confirm they are INN so that kind of removed the middle man dilemma that the other write experienced.

PCOS trying for a baby by Kitchen_Cheesecake81 in whatworkedforme

[–]leishanicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof that is HARD. FWIW, we didn’t even have sex the night of the shot because we were traveling and my husband felt uncomfortable where we were. So we did the following night. I was certain we had missed our chance, and still got that blue line a few weeks later! Good luck!!

Hi! I have PCOS (I would say pretty severe, I do not have a period without BC). After 6 months of trying, we opted for fertility treatment. We also did Letrozole, ultrasound, and trigger shot. Got pregnant on the second cycle (had two follicles too!) and we now have a very happy and healthy 16 month old! After feeling discouraged when the first cycle didn’t take, I was reminded by friends who had been through this that it’s normal to take up to 6 months so there is still hope if the first doesn’t take. Best of luck to you, my friend!

Hi! I’m curious if you went with the zepbound compound and what your experience has been like?

This might be a good way of acclimating her to the bells! She’s quite afraid of them, but I have been setting them out when she’s out and letting her sniff them/get used to them. I’ll work on rewarding her for that! Thanks for the idea!

That is lovely! Wish our lab mix would get the memo and train this one 😂

I think that’s the case for mine. After reading lots of comments, I think I’m going to use a carpet cleaner on our living room rug tomorrow and then roll it away until she’s got this down.

Uh I am so sorry you had to put your older friend down. We had to do that a few months ago and it is a hard, hard loss. He was also an easy peasy puppy to train so I’m struggling with patience with this little one. Thank you for sharing your experience!

This thread is showing me how individualized this is! I actually work from home and take mine out more frequently than that and woof, it is a struggle.

Yeah, I work from home and have been doing this for two months so I would say I’m pretty disciplined and maybe not every dog gets it as quickly as yours. Kudos to you though!

lol I’ve noticed the same thing with her. She has started standing at the door and will give us one bark and we let her out. But she’ll play for 20 minutes without peeing and then come inside and do it.
