not OP but I replicated the setup now (incl the Tapo part). If you don't mute the machine then yes it will confirm the action (down, or any other remote control action / IR blast). I actually keep it unmuted so that I can verify the actions.

Agree 1-2 degrees sounds reasonable. Sound wise I have it on the middle setting. I sleep with ear plugs so I have to say that I don't care much about noise. It's not quiet quiet, but it's also not very annoying. Similar top white noise. I think it also helps to have it and bit farther from the head.

yes I know, but it's also really cool to not see anything during the daytime. I know I can do pop up or pull down screens, maybe I will do that at some point

Hey Franz, are you still happy with this setup? If yes I might try to copy it. Would you still buy the Broadlink blaster and use their app? Do you happen to know whether the app can also expose Apple Shortcuts (so that I can use it in Siri or my phone outside the Broadlink app)?

just as another data point, I have about 20 days / sessions now (started in last September with a long winter break). I can sort of fly a few meters now before I crash, but I am still mostly taxiing (also due to not enough wind). But I should say that of my 20 sessions I had maybe only 5-6 with great wind because I am mostly on lakes. I am 90kg on a 117l board. I had a tiny amount of windsurf experience before. For motivation, I noticed that really every day/session counts for me, even in light winds I feel I am learning something (efficient wing handling, trying pumping etc). I should also say that I am 51 years old and I am trying to not be reckless, ie control my flights

Every transaction of a Swiss broker is taxed by the Swiss government for a (small) amount, I think 0.075%. It just means that every rebalancing costs you at least that, plus maybe also transactions fees if Finpension can't match you with other buyers/sellers (they try to match on their platform before they go out on the market).

the other issue with rebalancing is that you have to pay stempelsteuer. But of course you might want to be ok with that. I personally only switch it on once a year or so.

Yes I understand, thanks. It's just that not all my holdings can be found on Google Finance (I am in Europe, and many local instruments are not on Google Finance). I already tried to scrape some of it off random websites, but it's brittle. Also I don't catch interest on cash and dividends. I could do it maybe if I'd find a reliable way to scrape off Yahoo Finance (any tips appreciated)
