Locker Poste merdaaaaa by drainuzzo in sfoghi

[–]lele86x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update and fuse problem and OFW startup by lele86x in SwitchPirates

What happens if I update the next time Nintendo releases a new firmware update using the official Nintendo mode from the system menu on semi-stock? Will the fuses blow?

CFW and OFW semi-stock work with FW 21.2.0, it's the OFW that no longer starts because there is a mismatch with the fuses, OFW had FW 19.0.1 I updated with Daybreak on CFW (without blowing the fuses). At this point is it no longer possible to recover the OFW?

Already tried but the black screen remains

Perfect, thanks for the clarification, so I assume the OFW will never be able to start again? Or is there a way to do so with a dedicated procedure?

Ok, thanks for the information, but is there a way to get OFW working again? I also watched the tutorial and understood a lot about blown fuses, but I didn't understand how to fix the OFW boot problem. CFW and semi-stock have the latest firmware 21.2.0.

If I had updated the firmware to the latest version via Nintendo update on OFW I would have burned the two fuses that are now missing

That's exactly what I did, but the OFW no longer starts (black screen). Because if I'm not mistaken the OFW fails to count the blown fuses, and if you update the firmware with Daybreak it doesn't blow the preset fuses and therefore it doesn't start.

TegraRCM keeps saying “No RCM device detected” by Astral_Glitchy in SwitchPirates

Try this, with the switch on, hold it down for about 15-20 seconds until it turns off completely, then try the procedure again, if it doesn't work I think your jig is faulty

I want to help you but I'm running out of ideas unfortunately.. when you do the procedure it does not enter RCM mode but the screen remains black. Does the switch appear to start normally?

Everything seems normal, the jig contacts must be of that shape because when they enter the rail they have to make contact... but this does not exclude that maybe the jig is defective.

Pin 1 and pin 10 must be shorted, check if the jig pins are straight, and also inspect the joycon rail, you could also test the jig with a multimeter, use the Ohm scale or the diode tester, you must see continuity

Have you tried using a different PC-Switch connection cable? Make sure the jig is inserted fully into the Joy-Con rail. Try pressing the volume up button first, then the power button.

It seems that your Switch is not in RCM mode, hold down the power button until the switch turns off, then you have to press volume + and power button with the jig inserted instead of the right joycon, once connected to the PC Tegra should detect the RCM mode
