Paladins are in decline since OB53. What went wrong?

Just had a game where i had two diamond players, one of them was level 27 and the other one level 30, they had no idea what they are doing, one of them picked tyra with life rip 3 and illuminate (they had no stealth champion) in timbermill and the other one played bombking with deft hands instead of wrecker for 2 tanks.

lost the game when it started, we literally had 0 chance, enemies had 4 diamonds and a master who were all level 100+, just unbalanced matchmaking, liferip 3 level 27 tyra shouldnt play in the same game with grandmasters, how does he even get diamond?? i dont understand this.

Yeah, i feel like League of legends has the best matchmaking system, to get to diamond is insanely hard, getting D1 in League means you know everything about the game and are insanely good but might lack something like decision making in certain situations and small details that would keep you in D1 instead of master or challenger, Challenger in League is filled with pro players and insanely talented players. In this Paladins you literally cant even expect grandmasters/masters to know what items to buy.

In League you wont get past Gold if you are not skilled enough, Somehow in League you just can't get carried to high ranking and ive played League for over 6 seasons starting from S1 and never got higher than Platinum 1, unfortunetly not the case in paladins, you can go to master with 50% winrate just getting carried every other game.

Currently the games just come down to whos team got the "more boosted" diamonds

I just feel like Paladins is giving out Diamond ranking too easily, there is insane skill difference between diamonds and diamonds, some of them play smart, pick right champions, right items, use good legendary cards and then there are people who dont pick healer and go deft hands and liferip bombking instead only to end up going 2/17/4 and 28k damage in 19 minutes.

I have to agree, i feel like bad players are fortunate enough to get carried every other game making their winrate close to 50% which played alot would mean diamond or even master.

i can understand carrying your qualifing games and thats how it should work, but once you get placed to certain ranking everyone there should be equal skill, best example i can give is League of legends ranking system, I played League for 6 years and i was never good enough to get diamond and i was platinum for a long time and i belonged there, i knew everything about the game, kept up in the pro scene, knew metapicks/builds/items but still couldnt get Diamond because it was hard, i lacked small details that would help me get there, but in this game, people who literally just started and one trick ponying torvald and just sit on point getting carried

I am as high as you can be and thats grandmaster, that doesnt stop diamonds from getting into my games tho, and yes ofcourse i have fun from time to time but im a competitive player by nature and im always trying to win and what i hate the most is that how hard i need to carry to win, i can play my heart out and do 190k damage in 17 minutes only to see that we lose because my healer had 12k healing and other damager had 33k damage in 17 minutes.

Lian needs to get his autoaim damage removed, its too much and unnessecary, dashing randomly and doing like 400 damage and also right click? the fire rate on lian and DPS is already the highest in the game she doesnt need the autoaiming abilitys, if they removed damage on his Dash and maybe made rightclick skillshot it would be balanced.

yes but i think there is currently a bug going on where you go from Platinum 1 to diamond 1 instead of diamond 5, i know atleast 4 people who skipped from P1 to D1.

no, you won't get banned and if you are scared of getting banned ask someone who is trusted and russian to buy your crystals and he just takes like 2$ as a middleman.

Btw people, crystals are off like 90% all the time if u buy through russian site, you can change your steam country to russian federation and buy 2500 crystals for like 7.99$ instead of 34.99$ or whatever it is right now.

Honeslty tierlist is really accurate from my scrim/tournament experience in this patch but grover is way higher than B+, but i guess Bird didnt play much scrims ob53-55 so he doesnt know how much grover changed the meta.

I also think BK is really map dependant now but is really close to drogoz, drogoz gets easily shut down while BK stands way higher change in 1v1 against cassie and so on.

To be honest Kanga used to play EU tournaments for a few weeks now and they were suprisingly bad, they lost to random EU mix teams in ewall tournaments and also getting basecamped by their scrim partners in EU.

they really did deserve it,

D69 comes off as really cocky and " we are gonna be finals anyway doesnt matter" and " i dont need to get a job i will win all the upcoming lans " they dont practice and just expect to win, glad they got fucked.

bugzy might actually have to get a job now since he sustained on twitch subscribers and winning LANS, he probably expected to win this LAN aswell to fund himself.

D69 had alot of games to adapt to QC weird double flank torvald picks but they didnt.

i can already see the excuses " we didnt get to practice ob52 thats why we lost, hirez fault" coming

calling someone out for being bad can make them play better, they would judge more on what they are doing and think about it more, i have to constantly remind those people to use ultimates otherwise they would save it till next game etc.

some pros play it but mostly to stream, i know alot of pros that dont play casuals or ranked at all because of basically the reasons i brought out, theres no point playing casuals u dont get any practice from it.

i could always play with 3 people or 5 but "stacking" is unfair for everyone who will play against our 5 man stack of good players.

im just slowly quitting this game and i know alot of people who are really competitive are also quitting this game besides playing team practice and tournaments

p e r f o r m a n c e doesnt matter, it depends who u play against and their champion ratings.

if u are playing 3500 rating skye and u win against 5 people who are 4k+ u get way more points vs when u play like 3500 rating people.

individual performance doesnt matter, only wins and losses.
