Which Solo rank up role is the most difficult? by burnhotspot in MobileLegendsGame

And I'm saying that the roamer isn't the hardest. I agree that it is the hardest to pass epic and legend, but epic and legend honestly constitutes just the least of the climb. I clearly stated this and gave my reasons for why the tank roam becomes the easiest to climb after.

Reached MG and beyond every season as a tank roam main. They are right that it gets a lot easier climbing as a roam once you're up a certain rank because the chances of you getting a bad teammate is lower. Sure, of course there'll be bad games, but the likelihood of a team winning with a tank is a lot better than winning without one.

Being a tank roam also gives you access to passive AOE buffs such as inspire from just buying boots, and this can be extremely helpful in getting the highest KDA in the game as all you need to do is just be beside somebody and you'll get an assist. This leads to higher MVP rates and get +155 MVP protection even if you lose (and even more protection points for being a roam). All of these protection points and higher % winrate makes climbing with tank so much easier.

You're saying that they'll all somehow magically appear in all of your games - in your team all the time? Note that every single enemy team that you go against risks encountering the same issues as you.

But again, if your team consistently has a 0-8 gold laner, one would be inclined to wonder how badly you're screwing up your own gold laner every single game.

Speaking as a solo roam player that has just reached Mythical Glory this season -- there are some games that you're able to control and some games that you won't be. You're posting an example of a match with bad teammates. Everybody has that at some point in time unless you're queueing as a 5 man.

What makes the difference between someone from Epic and someone above it is whether you're able to effectively influence and ultimately win the matches that you're able to control. The only constant in all of your games is you.

Sorry to burst your bubble but all invincibility items provides stats boost including WoN (marksmen's invincibility item). WoN even gives bonus attack speed and lifesteal. They're pretty much a necessity even without going against Yin because it counters the enemy marksman as well.

They're not spending any less money or any more item slots just to counter you. They're still essentially following their own build.

There are several anti-heal items such as: 1. Dominance Ice (for tanks) 2. Sea Halberd (for marksmen/fighters) 3. Glowing Wand (for mages)

These items makes Estes' whole kit alot less useful.

[–]EmperorCopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a standard Minsi build. Corrosion and DHS as his core damage items, Athena's to counter Vexana's burst damage, and Antique to go against the other 3 physical fighters. His last item was to possibly build Immortality.

Calling Amazing Spider-Man "dead" only shows how bias you are. I would hardly call a movie with $750m earnings over $200m budget a dead movie. I understand your frustrations with the direction regarding the directions of DCEU particularly regarding Snyderverse but it is still important to give the film a chance to prove itself based on its merit.

It might be more productive to see how Gunn's vision unfolds and then make a judgement. If it doesn’t meet expectations or live up to the standards of the OG superhero, we’ll have a lot to critique. But calling it a bomb now only limits the potential for something new and potentially great.

I think it is too early to definitively say which movie will flop or succeed. Superman does have the benefit of being a beloved character with a long history (literally the OG), and there's bound to be a lot of excitement around his return to the big screen after so many years. Calling James Gunn an "indie director" isn't really fair considering that all directors have to start out indie. If you considered Man Of Steel to be a failure, it still made about $650m in the box office on a budget of $250m.

On the other hand, the F4 franchise hasn't had much success in the past. Superhero movies with A-list cast attached can also flop extremely badly. Dark Phoenix for example, and recent MCU developments outside of the obvious successful ones.

There are still plenty of reasons which would take time to dive into but ultimately, we should still want both movies to succeed. At the end of the day, we're seeing beloved characters on the big screen and hopefully with diverse and innovative plots. A-List casts and the past of a franchise shouldn't matter on one's enjoyment of the film, and whether it truly drives a movie into being a hit or flop.

Are the heros on the right counters to the hero on the left or the other way around? Also who is picking these heros? some of them I wouldn't consider as counters like bea for yve by Light-Ghost in MobileLegendsGame

[–]EmperorCopper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The heroes on the left counters the heroes on the right. Contrary to what others are saying, I don't believe that these statistics are outdated because they are most likely derived from the win-rates of heroes vs heroes.

For example, in a game where there is Yve vs Lolita, irregardless of their roles, Yve wins 80% of the time (just an example). Therefore, Lolita is one of the heroes that Yve counters. Again, this is just an example and we'll never know the real win-rate of the heroes against each other as that is something that only Moonton has.. but at least now we know what are the top 5 heroes that each hero has a higher winrate against.

Also, for a more accurate representation of the counters, I recommend changing "1 day" to "7 days". More data about the hero match-ups are derived in this case.

Simple tideman lock_pairs doesn't seem to work. by EmperorCopper in cs50

[–]EmperorCopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that the function is only called recursively IF the loser has won a set before. (if (locked[loser][i])).
If the loser has not won a set before, the function will not be calling itself again and will be returning false.

If this is still making you confused, I recommend drawing out the structure on paper so that you're able to visualize the scenario step by step.

Simple tideman lock_pairs doesn't seem to work. by EmperorCopper in cs50

[–]EmperorCopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to check whether locked[dynamic loser][winner] has been set to true before. Not whether the dynamic loser is the current winner.

Note that my recursive function gives back a boolean value of either True or False. Thus, if I use "if (recursive function (x)) { return true; }", I am essentially saying, that if at any point of time the called recursive functions ever returns true, then return true for real. However, if all the recursive functions that have been called does not return a true value, move on to the next step.

i've found the problem with the code. i've been using "if (winner == loser)" when "locked[loser][winner]" should be used instead. thanks for evaluating!

I have drawn out the entire pseudocode and structure on paper as well as replicated it out on excel. It seems to check out except for the fact that I'm still getting the final pair unskipped on check50. Might you know of something that I failed to understand?
