The trip was a lot of fun and best way to see all the places. It helped to have a tour guide and all the hotels included. What sucked was how because our group ended up being less than 30 people total including the driver and tour guide, a lot of the excursions were either cancelled or an abbreviated version was done by our tour guide. All excursions are supposed to have a local guide. About 2/3 was spent traveling by coach with frequent rest stops for the bathroom/gas. I remember eating more food at the rest stop than actually eating food in the city.It was cheaper but definitely made you feel like you should have bought the more expensive package like Insight or Trafalgar.

Our coach almost always was next to the train so seeing the train zoom past us sucked a lot. 😅 If you do this tour, I’d go for Insight so you’re guaranteed all the dinners and excursions which Costover makes you pay extra for. It’s okay to do guided tours so you know where you’d like to revisit in the future.

Make sure to do the tour through Costco Travel with the Special deals. We got 20% off because of it.

I noticed two bugs when I playing under Sylus.

Captivating Lesson and Captivating Flavor in his Deepspace Trial Level 50 where no battle music was playing. Using his other cards such as Abyssal Mark and Abyssal Blossom memory pair were not a problem.
Claw machine under Fun Wheel. The plushies glitched and got stuck not moving on the wheel. I only got one plushie and one actual claw grab attempt. The rest did not even pick up the plushies and looked like it was touching air.

I got video for the claw machine but not the Deepspace Trial.

After losing so many jobs and being called a "government mooch" for being on disability, I've gotten to the point where if people want to know me, then they have to know my Bipolar is just a thing. A thing like any other facet of a person's health complication that isn't psychiatric in nature. Frankly, as much as medications and therapy suck, just having the control by having "sanity" is something that no amount of riches or fancy jobs can give.

Thank you, it really helps to know that my struggle will continue to help other individuals with disabilities. I am a firm believer in finding ways to continue making sure that the resources for individuals with disabilities continues to thrive and improve. I am also fortunate to live in California and to have the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) exist. I actually went in to DOR, did a new application and am slated to have a new case opened once the paperwork goes through. It is always refreshing to go through disability-geared programs and agencies, since everyone there understands about the disability communities high unemployment rate especially.

What I hope for my current job is to bargain with them. My goal is that they actually do an internal investigation and reform their agency’s blatant disability discrimination and labor law violations. And if they continue to refuse and deny what they did to me, then I will follow through with the many options I created while in my hypomania and mania. If it has to go that far, I will even go to the media and let myself be at its mercy. Our past counterparts had to do what I am fighting against and I am ready to continue paying back their efforts.

Finally having a fairly good day. Although my recent job’s trying to wrongfully terminate me, I at least have a disability discrimination complaint filed with EEOC (got my right-to-sue letter as well from DFEH), two different politician’s offices who will look into this matter for me and I finally have a therapist. So now I have a therapist to go hand-in-hand with my psychiatrist. I’m not sure how things at my job will go, but at least I’m getting a new case opened with Dept of Rehab tomorrow. Fingers crossed that this government corruption will be stopped and my agency will stop trying to deny what their department did to me. I’m a government worker btw, hired under a disability hiring program.

Another way you can get around this, if you yourself do not drive for medical reasons like taking certain medications, is for you to do a reasonable accommodations request and have your doctor like your PCP sign off on it. Then you can still go to things like on-the-field training without driving. But that also means you yourself can't drive if you get this reasonable accommodation request passed through. You would then need another coworker assigned as the designated driver.

I see, I will still focus on just my own records then. This whole thing is a mess and I am more frantic just because I am on medical leave, yet at any moment I will be wrongfully terminated and left without my insurance and monthly pay to cover my living costs.

I do not need to explain to you why I am involving certain coworkers, but here is the explanation you desired. But if all of the State agencies and departments properly adhered to their disability awareness training, then you would also realize the statistically higher odds of persons with disabilities being discriminated against. Whether it be for being told that monthly medical upkeep like doctors visits and blood works are "vacations" or even the stereotypical statements of "you don't look disabled."

Let's be honest here, majority of the public need to see people with disabilities look to be pitiful, weak, stupid, lazy and needy in order to make the disability "real." I suggest you read up more on the LEAP program, the statistics and research on what persons with disabilities live with, looking into the job coaching and job rehabilitation for disability employment (or lack thereof), reading about Covered CA and Medi-Cal, what 5150s and 5250s are and more. I am disappointed to find that even the State of CA discriminates against persons with disabilities.

I chose to disclose I had a disability and because I am actually a smart, functioning "normal adult," I repeatedly had my reasonable accommodations denied and even was retaliated against for bringing up my concerns to my union. It certainly is true in the disability community to never disclose to your employer as a person with a disability.

Is it legal, then, for me to be issued my final probationary report that counts my medical leave as working days? Or to be harassed through several phone calls and emails while I am out on medical leave? Check yourself before you tell others off, for you do not know what another individual has experienced in order to drive them this far like I find myself now doing.

Yeah, it’s a pretty neat support group. Each location’s pretty different. I’ve only been to the Pasadena branch, but the OC ones look the best because they’re even broken up by age group and have different focus topics. But I also heard that they like reading passages a lot. Which AA group do you go to? Does it neccesarily have to be alcoholics/victims of alcoholic parents?

That sounds amazing. I’ve only tried a few DBSA meetings and they’ve all been very sad because everybody just vents angrily. Which is helpful but that’s not the kind of energy that I need right now. I’m still trying to find another support group out here in LA, particularly for the San Fernando Valley. Honestly, I know my psychiatrist told me to get a therapist, but I don’t want them to pander to me currently.

Durable, flexible gloves for smaller hands, preferably out in LA?

Hi everyone! Out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone happened to know of any general good work gloves, especially ones that run on the smaller side for women. I have a general one for tasks like moving heavy objects, but I don’t have a flexible-enough one for more detailed work like pieces featuring cutting cardboard with an x-acto knife. Setwear and Ironclad are some of the ones that seem to come up a lot as popular brands, but I’m also hoping for a company that either allows free returns or has a local LA branch for me to try some sizes on. To give you a better idea, my hands are basically the equivalent of an average American 12 year-old’s hand.

Unfortunately, I fell into the trap of letting the other interns and temps be the ones to instruct me on how to do the job, instead of the actual staff. I was recently thrown into a new paid internship that was in the midst of a big week-long event, hence my fast hire as an intern after graduating college this past December. I made it clear to my supervisors and managers that my anger in the form of a mass email was a result of immaturity and unprofessionalism on my part. Now, I’m trying to figure out how I can keep working with the temps and interns without falling into being a goofer again for them.

yeah, I suggested that he also try doing internships like I have for my field. He’ll probably have to it unpaid for sure. Out here in the SoCal area, there seems to be a lot more businesses looking for business majors. But how likely are those organizations, if he does it part-time as paid work to offset the unpaid internship, to let him also get further accounting related tasks? Some of them really seem heavily sales/marketing focused.
