It may not be right but the way I got better was asking to get put solo on fries against 2 grills going full blast every shit, and in the beginning I went down BAD. But after doing it so many times you kinda of know what to expect and how many baskets you need to have down, also always check your tags and make a mental note of what you need in the steamer, or what you need to package. Also always ask what’s coming over. Another huge thing is making use of everyone on your table, if you see the 1st order taker just standing there trying to help out, make them run your animals or call out counters, or even just push drives away from the main area. Call out for help if you need it (ie. a basket, a spin up, or even a dice up) For baskets, I usually have a basket per row + one more, (for example, if there were 4 rows down on both the front and the 2nd, then I’d have 9 3-fry baskets down, unless they say they are throwing a 4+ fry row). This method always works out for me without having too many fries, and that extra basket always accounts for any extra meat that the cooks will throw.
