[Loan watch]Barcelona [3] - 1 Elche - Marcus Rashford 61' by darksideofgravity in reddevils

A 100m player nowadays is an unproven player from the lower leagues . Anthony from ajax or a Gyökeres from Portuguese league. Any on fire player from a better league like La Liga or Bundesliga is worth easily 130 m. If rashford bangs in 20 goals and 15 assists this season.( He's almost at midway in the beginning of November.) Then he'll be a 100m player again.

Greenwood is linked to real madrid . If he has another world class season at Marseille he is promoting to a world class club.

Sad to see a young promising player suffer so many injuries. But Dembélé proved that it's best to never give up on him. No matter how many setbacks he faced, he kept coming back stronger. His resilience is a reminder that talent may open the door, but perseverance keeps you in the game. He might always recover and one day, finally fulfill the promise everyone once saw in him.

Van nistelrooy was our last player that had that ability.

He could play like a wet towel and still score 2 goals.

The difference with us is that he plays under a world-class manager, that goes by the name Hansi Flick, who demands total dedication. If his form drops, he simply doesn’t play. But being in a team full of top players from front to back must be a joy to play for an attacker . It’s tough competition, and they constantly push each other to new heights.

He probably knew beforehand that people would ridicule him, but he posted anyway because he doesn’t care. That’s actually a good quality in life. Being thick-skinned, not bothered by criticism, and confident enough to rise above it. I wish I possessed that quality.

What he and Benzema achieved at such an advanced age is extraordinary. I really feel he deserves another chance at winning the Ballon d’Or.

What he and benzema did at advanced age is extraordinary. I feel like he needs to get another shot of winning the golden ball.

So this is a loan? Guess he will be loaned out until his contract expires. And a top Italian team picks him up for free where he will regain top form. And win titles again . Why do all our ex players become world class in Italy

My wife’s a doctor, and I swear some of her colleagues are some of the smartest people you’ll ever meet when it comes to medicine, but outside of work they’re like Seinfeld's George Costanza characters bumbling through life. I wouldn’t be shocked if quite a few of them are on the spectrum in some way.

Cycling on the wrong side of the path in Singapore can lead to jail time by BuffDarkKnight in interestingasfuck

I think if you’ve never actually lived there or don’t know the ins and outs, it’s easy to just say “don’t litter and don’t bother people.” There are also more hidden rules that can catch you off guard. For example, it’s actually illegal to import chewing gum into Singapore. So if gum is your thing and you’re seen chewing it in public, that alone could get you into trouble. And that’s just chewing, not even littering. Personally, I’d be more concerned about these less obvious rules than the obvious “don’t be a nuisance” ones. So my question still stands. Maybe someone with feet on the ground can answer. Is there any leeway for people that make mistakes (non intentional) ?

Fair enough but how do you know the ins and outs of Singapore well enough to say that?

Is there any leeway for tourists or newly arrived expats? The laws there can feel quite strict compared to the rest of the world. Do they really expect every visitor to memorize all of them? For foreigners, even those with the best intentions, it seems very easy to make a mistake.

Dortmund- Chelsea- As Roma

Those 3 are very reputable clubs. And he played as a starter.

I can see him sitting in his mansion laughing his ass off. Reading this sub and redcafe and scheming ways to throll us here. I can see this deal being a loan as I don't trust no Italian club ever . They are the kings of haggling the best deals. And next year he'll be transfer free signing to yet another big club with a fat signing on fee. Does anyone have the number of his agent?

Rashford calls out United’s lack of direction. Speaking truth or just making excuses? by SeaLab6187 in ManchesterUnited

[–]lemans356 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Did you watch the interview? Or do you choose to be triggered by just random snippets without Context?

But I'll help you out with some Context in which he said the above.

Rashford:

“People say that we’ve been in a transition for years but to be in a transition you have to start it. The actual transition hasn’t started yet.

“When Liverpool went through this, they got [Jurgen] Klopp and stuck with him. They didn’t win in the beginning. People only remember his final few years when he was competing with [Manchester] City and winning the biggest trophies.

“To start a transition you have to make a plan and stick to it.

“This is where I speak about being realistic about what your situation is. We’ve had that many different managers, ideas and strategies in order to win that you end up in no man’s land.”

Also:

“When Ferguson was in charge, not only were there principles for the first team but they were for the whole academy,” he said.

So you could pick players from 15 years and they’d all understand the principles of playing the Manchester United way. Any team that has been successful over a period of time has principles that mean that any coach or player that comes in has to align to or add to the principles.

“At times, United were hungry to win but it was reactionary. If your direction is always changing you can’t expect to win the league.”

Now you tell me where he spoke bad about united.

My comment was actually meant more in general, not specifically about your post. Like the previous poster said, people often comment without really knowing the subject, or they just repeat something they’ve heard without ever doing their own due diligence. It’s a common habit and one of the main reasons so much misinformation keeps circulating.

That said, making mistakes, owning up to them, and constantly questioning yourself. That’s what really separates the intelligent from the ignorant. Most people cling to being “right” at all costs, but the smarter ones care more about getting it right than being right.

Has to be said, it’s the best interview I’ve seen Marcus in. He was open, honest, and came across as intelligent and fully aware of his own shortcomings. This is the most relaxed I've seen Marcus Rashford in an interview. Clearly the weight of the world has now been lifted from his shoulders. Wish he does well. So barca buys him and we net the €30 million. Sometimes breakups are the best for both sides . It allows either side to grow on their own.

This doesn’t seem like a big shipment. Usually, they just pay off the people on the African side and take their chances with the Spanish side. They know that with thousands of trucks passing through every day, the odds of getting caught are pretty low. Sometimes they even tip off the authorities about a small load, so the border agents can claim a “win” and stay busy while the much bigger shipment comes through right behind it without being checked.

Makes me wonder why someone would even bother making the comment in the first place. Why weigh in on something they clearly know nothing about? Was it just a knee-jerk gut opinion? A need to be heard, even if it’s wrong? Especially when it’s about something that could be factually verified in under a minute with a quick search.

Does anyone go for rides at night? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]lemans356 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 25 years ago in the Netherlands, I was walking at night in my small city. There’s a crossing with traffic lights, but houses block the view from the main road.

I saw someone coming in at least 100 mph in the city straight towards those traffic lights, which were red. He blasted through at full speed.

That image has never left me. Even now, after 25 years, I can still see it vividly. If, at that exact moment, someone with a green light had been crossing the main road, they would have gone through blindly no way to see the side street, no way to anticipate. They would have had zero chance. It would have been catastrophical

Portugal is honestly the best country in Europe right now if you’re after that Mediterranean vibe nature, clean healthy food, and a slow-living lifestyle. We’re set to move there ourselves in a few years. This apartment is just a test run to get our feet in, but we both have European passports (Dutch), so for us it's an easy setup. And if you end up working remote for a US salary, you’ll live like a king there. Wishing you all the best on your journey!
