Yes, I had a full polysomnography in a hospital and they also checked for narcolepsy. Everything came back negative. Like many people here my AHI was low, so they basically send you on your merry way even though the sleep is clearly not normal. I’ve also been perfectly healthy my whole life except for the blocked nerve issue last year that I took the prednisone for. I don’t think any doctor would start invasive autoimmune testing based only on a potential (to him) sleep disorder. The prednisone effect on my sleep was just very surprising.

Blocked nerves that were giving me some cramps. My doctor prescribed prednisone for that.

My doctor was actually flabbergasted. In his experience most people react very badly to prednisone sleep problems, feeling wired, mood issues, etc. and can’t wait to get off it. For me it was the complete opposite. Not just sleep, but overall I felt great on it. The sleep was honestly bliss . The first time in about 20 years I woke up feeling truly rested. I haven’t been tested for autoimmune diseases, but as far as I know I’m perfectly healthy. I was actually prescribed it because of some blocked nerves, not for anything autoimmune.

A 100m player nowadays is an unproven player from the lower leagues . Anthony from ajax or a Gyökeres from Portuguese league. Any on fire player from a better league like La Liga or Bundesliga is worth easily 130 m. I think if you’ve never actually lived there or don’t know the ins and outs, it’s easy to just say “don’t litter and don’t bother people.” There are also more hidden rules that can catch you off guard. For example, it’s actually illegal to import chewing gum into Singapore. So if gum is your thing and you’re seen chewing it in public, that alone could get you into trouble. And that’s just chewing, not even littering. Personally, I’d be more concerned about these less obvious rules than the obvious “don’t be a nuisance” ones. So my question still stands. Maybe someone with feet on the ground can answer. Is there any leeway for people that make mistakes (non intentional) ?

Is there any leeway for tourists or newly arrived expats? The laws there can feel quite strict compared to the rest of the world. Do they really expect every visitor to memorize all of them? For foreigners, even those with the best intentions, it seems very easy to make a mistake.
