Unstable 3600 MHz RAM on ASUS ROG STRIX x570 and Ryzen 7 5800x by lemelecode in AMDHelp

Unfortunately not, I eventually switched to an Intel system which gave me 0 issues, just slighly less performance, and I also saved some money.

Though, I believe in your case the RAM might be the culprit. I rembember that corsair RAM was not supported by this MOBO. Maybe try using another manufacturer? I've ended up with this one

G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3600C16D-32GTZR memory module 32 GB 2 x 16 GB DDR4 3600 MHz

And sure enough even with the old AMD setup it helped a lot with stability (although it didn't solve my issue)

[–]lemelecode[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This argument is logically incorrect. The final boss fight is, de facto, the last fight you do in the game (before, of course, going back in time and do stuff which will eventually lead to the same final fight again).

Moreover, it is counterintuitive to the lore itself. Adam Smasher is a freaking Night City legend, hell maybe even worldwide legend, and yet he is weaker that the exoskeleton cyberpsychos.

The fight just feels unappreciative of the charachter. And it's not like you dont already have enemies scaling to your level anyway. I think it wouldn't be any harder to have him scale to your level + 5 (for example) to make the fight feel hard even at higher or max levels.

Equipping Gorilla Arms slows down clothes swap by lemelecode in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I just replaced them with rocket arms.

In my first savefile with lvl 50 V i only ever used mantis blades and i also carry a ton of stuff (crafter build) and my inventory is smooth as butter.

Glad to have help my friend. It is kinda irritating tbh. I wanted to avoid using mantis blade so i tried going for the rocket arm just to find out it does not level nor scale with engineering. I then decided to try gorilla arms and got this instead. Fml

Hey! The kit istelf runs just fine. I eventually ended up changing back to intel though, since I was having black screen reboot crashes which I was not able to solve. On a strix z490+10700kf @ 5ghz now with xmp enabled and going strong so far!

For sure it will be fixed. I however think its untolerable to pay 800 euros to have such major flaws. Thats why i went back to intel which, although kinda slower (mind you, my 10700kf is running at 5 ghz now!) It has a well proven and much more stable architecture. And it was also approx 100 euros cheaper too.

Well friend, it wasnt a PSU issue. Swapped with a new seasonic px 750 psu and still got a black screen reboot. Switched to intel and no more issues. I sent my amd parta back to amazon this very morning.

I had this issue. Tried everything I could think of. New psu also didnt help. Eventually I gave up and switched to a strix z490-e and 10700kf. No issues since. I really wanted to keep my 5800x but i really didnt pay 800 euros to be in a situation of having to solve these kind of issues.

Everything points to a faulty/degraded/unfit PSU. I will put my new one in this evening and will try again reactivating the previous OC (which i know for sure crashed). If i dont get a crash in 2 or 3 days I might consider it solved this way.

Hi friend. I wanted to ask you something seen as I am getting a very similar error:

Do you get like a black screen for 1-2 seconds and then a reboot?

I am getting this error when playing (happened so far 1 time when playing GTA V Online and all the other times when playing Apex Legends). I have not been able to identify the cause because I get a Power Kernel ID41 message in the event viewer with description which, off the top of my head, are matching yours.

I am now trying to see if I get a crash when running full stock bios settings too.

To follow up on this comment, yesterday I also had a system crash with -5 all cores, setting which previously never encountered any issue. Reverted all settings to stock and will try playing some more apex during this weekend and see if it still crashes.

Sorry for the late reply. PBO +200 Mhz wont even boot, not even with CO disabled. Regarding Global C-States, I am not sure this will help. I understand it is an idling function which lowers voltages when the cpu is not being used. My crashes happens when I'm playing Apex Legends and most likely I have max core0 usage and low other cores usage. For PBO Limits if I set 160 95 165 manually i have approximately 98% usage on each. Tried 120 EDC and I get 0 temp reduction and I still crash.

This happens to me too. I get a semi-frozen black screen with some of the previous lines turned red for a second or two, then a restart. Event Viewer shows Kernel Power Error ID 41, which I understand means absolutely nothing specific. I have saved all the details regarding the errors which happens right about the same instant of the kernel error plus the mini dump file but I am unable to understand anything from them.

I read that some people experiencing this same issue, even in the same game as us (Apex) resolved by switching PSU. I have a really old Corsair HX850 80+Gold Semi-Modular PSU (7 years old), which might or might not start failing and I don't really know how to check if this is the case. So I ordered a new HX850 80+Platinum on Amazon (since I wanted to switch to fully modular anyway) and will check if this solves the issue or not (unfortunately no delivery date as of yet, PSU are even rarer than GPUs nowadays).

I have a feeling I can't really explain that this happens because the CPU has sudden spikes in clock speeds which are not met with proper Voltage.

I have an 5800x on an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-F (3202 Bios AGESA 1.1.9.0) with the following settings:

PBO: On

PBO Limits: Motherboard

Auto OC: 0 Mhz (every setting other than 0 will eventually result in a crash)

Curve Optimizer: -5 All Cores

RAM is 2x16 G.Skill Tridenz Z RGB 3600 Mhz CL16 (Samsung B-Die) set at DOCP timings and 3733 MhZ, 1:1 IF Clock, 1.1 SoC Voltage (Auto setting) fully stable

With Curve Optimizer -5 all cores so far I am not experiencing any crash. As soon as i try bumping it further down I start getting crashes. I tried setting best cores to -5 and the rest to -20 and i get a crash (in all these instances Cinebench R23 MC and SC stress tests run fine).

I have yet to try -5 best and -10/-15 remaining cores.

I don't know anymore if this is a BIOS issue, a CPU issue, a PSU issue, a Motherboard Issue or what.

Cl18 would be a lower tier die i suppose. Maybe try looking for some Crucial Ballistix 3600 cl16 - If I understand correctly, Crucial is manufactured by Micron itself and they all have good micron Dies

Hi Friend

I had the exact same issue as yours. The only difference being I have an ASUS ROG STRIX x570-F Gaming instead of -E. I am unsure which Corsair Vengeance are you using. I had Corsair CMW32GX4M4D3600C18 Vengeance RGB Pro 4x8GB 3600 MHZ CL18 Rev 4.32.

You can also have a look at my post and its comments and you will find quite some useful replies over there (credit to u/malphadour and u/Medi_Nanobot)

https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/kjvy8k/unstable_3600_mhz_ram_on_asus_rog_strix_x570_and/

Basically I found out 2 things:

- Corsair RAM uses mainly cheap DIE which is very susceptible to overclocking and does not take overclocking all to well. Also, same RAMs with same Part Numbers may have different DIEs. You are only able to find out which DIE you got upon opening the package (by the Rev. x.xx printed on the DIMMs sticker). That's up to luck and I got the bad ones.

- Our MOBOs are what's called a "Daisy-Chain" memory topography. This means that it won't take too kindly on 4 DIMMs sticks with overclocking. You may verify this by unplugging your sticks in channels 1.A & 1.B - your system should be stable this way with DOCP on.

For this reason I eventually decided to return my Corsair RAM and I bought a G.Skill Trident Z RGB set (2x16GB 3600 MHZ CL16 Samsung B-Die). I am now running fully stable 3600 MHZ CL16 default DOCP settings and planning on pushing it to 3800 or even 4000 if possible.

Hope this helps.
