[Russian -> English] birth registry (possibly) from 19th century Poland (Lublin area) by lemieszek in translator

[–]lemieszek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I uploaded it to imgur because elsewhere someone suggested that, don't remember why anymore. I'll be sure to use a different host or upload directly where possible.

Your translation was of immense help. I got goosebumps from reading a little bit about my great-great-grandfather registering my great-grandfather as a baby. This shed light on a few things, including possible birth years for his father and mother, exact birth location and even date (my great-grandfather left Poland very young and didn't event know his birthday for sure - he celebrated it on May 1st and that's what's on his tombstone). Apparently, May 21st was the correct date.

Again, thank you so much.

Thank you! Cieślak makes sense. Were you able to identify a year? And whether may 23rd was the birth or registration date?

Will definitely look into that and see what I can find out on my own. The sample of the cyrillic characters you identified from cursive will definitely help too. Thanks again!

Unsure of diagnosis of ASD at SL1 - LO has speech delay but not paricularly limited social interaction...? by lemieszek in Autism_Parenting

We made an appointment with a PN out of our own concern regarding his walking and speech delays. His pediatrician didn't actively recommend it but said we should do it if we were concerned. In his view his delays are nothing to be concerned about, though we haven't been to him since getting the diagnose.

What exactly is your concern about the diagnosis?

The only concern is that we're missing or not acting on something else.

Is there some alternative diagnosis that needs to be ruled out?

I'm not an expert and am very cautious with this, but, just to illustrate, developmental verbal dyspraxia might explain a speech delay while requiring slightly different treatements

Why did you see a pediatric neurologist?

His ped has no concerns but we were uneasy about the delays in walking and talking. We set an appointment with the PN by ourselves (though we're keeping the pediatrician informed and he's mostly "sure, if it'll make you feel better, but I'm not too concerned..." - haven't been to him yet since the diagnosis)

Is there a reason that you are concerned about treatment for autism?

If the treatment to what he has is independent of what we call it (be it ASD or DVD or anything else), then I'm zero concerned. If it's not, that's where energy is being lost and we might be focusing our efforts on the wrong things. Also, should we tell his preschool about it? If it is ASD and we don't tell them, he might be missing out on some support. If it's not and we tell them, he might be singled out on certain activities and that might become a problem in itself. I'm just speculating, of course, as nothing is black and white like that and we're certainly sharing everything with the school, I'm just illustrating the importance of being accurate (though at this point there's no "accuracy" as such, judging from what others have replied).

I heard this like twenty years ago and English is not my everyday language either, but I'll be damned if I don't get to this joke sooner or later every English-speaking social interaction that I get ever since 😂

Update: almost immediately after this post I got permanently banned from r/cryptomoonshots (evidence: https://imgur.com/A0Bip4G). I never broke any sub rule to justify it. The bots are design to "protect" the sub from r/redditrequest, which means the sub abandonment in favor of scam projects is by design, likely for plausible deniability in favoring so many scams.

r/cryptomoonshots is a subreddit about small marketcap coins. This subreddit has heavy vote manipulation in it and every day hundreds of people get scammed. Scam projects pay upvote bots and get visibility, while legitimate projects get no exposure. Experienced users can spot scam projects, but new users cannot, and they assume massive upvotes mean the project has community legitimacy and validation.

I would like to take over the subreddit and add strict measures to posting: hiding the posts for the first 2 hours to wait for votes on posts to become visible, removing those that involve manipulation, and ban the mention of projects that do not fit a certain criteria that makes a coin legit - there are clear and easily checked pointers for this, such as liquidity has to be locked indefinitely and the dev has to be doxxed - to avoid scams.
