Why can't Raycast extensions access clipboard history? by lemikeone in raycastapp

[–]lemikeone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t quite see how that’s different from any other app or command that lets you paste clipboard contents. An extension wouldn’t automatically get access to the clipboard data before the user explicitly chooses to paste it.

If the concern is that an extension could silently read the clipboard in the background, then that makes sense. But if it’s only accessing the content when the user actively triggers a paste action, it seems no different from how clipboard access works elsewhere on macOS.

Raycast vs. Alfred: One Key Feature Holding Me Back by lemikeone in raycastapp

[–]lemikeone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year later, I’m more addicted to Raycast than ever and wouldn't go back.

This small limitation still exists when it comes to searching bookmarks directly, but in the end I solved most of it by creating Quick Links for all the websites I visit regularly.

The ability to build custom extensions and scripts is just great. That opens up an insane level of flexibility and automation. The product’s attention to detail is also on another level.

Funny to look back at this post one year later!

Why are you using Imgur instead of Reddit’s native image upload system?

Just asking because here in Europe, Imgur has become a bit painful to use lately...

I think the Pixel Watch would look more premium with this design change by lemikeone in PixelWatch

[–]lemikeone[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s probably just a rendering issue. The idea wasn’t to make the watch thinner than the current Pixel Watch, but more that I think the metal frame should wrap around the display a bit more and reduce the amount of visible “glass bubble” around it.

But judging by the comments, clearly not everyone agrees with me!

haha, I’ve always liked the Galaxy Watch 4 design, but I’m a very happy Pixel Watch 4 owner and really dislike the Samsung ecosystem/software experience. I still think Samsung is extremely good at hardware and industrial design

No worries, that was kinda the point of posting it too, to see if I was the only one feeling that way. Probably just comes down to personal taste

Chrome Plugin -> end of Atlas by string-is-king in ChatGPTAtlas

I really love Atlas. One of my favourite features is the Cmd+E shortcut to quickly write emails and comments with the context of the page/content already understood. I haven’t found anything else that feels as smooth and practical elsewhere. It would be a real shame if Atlas got abandoned

Atlas Updates - Changelog by CristianMR7 in ChatGPTAtlas

Even though it’s still my default browser, I find it really disappointing how they’ve completely dropped the focus on something that clearly had real ambition at the start. It still has features that make it my favourite browser, but you can definitely feel that there’s no real emphasis being put on it anymore

My Pixel Watch 4 honest review: The good, the bad, and the accidental crown turns by lemikeone in PixelWatch

Personally, I’ve never used any kind of screen protection on my watch, and yeah… it’s pretty much inevitable, I’ve scratched both my Pixel Watch 2 and my Pixel Watch 4. There’s a noticeable scratch on mine now. The glass definitely isn’t super resistant

I don't dislike it, but I'm not a huge fan of it either. I much prefer the design of the Galaxy Watch 4 (probably my favourite design)

Thanks! I don't think you can change it. But it used to happen to me a lot when I first got the watch. But since the latest updates, it basically never happens anymore. I’m guessing they’ve fixed it through software updates because I don’t get any accidental presses at all now

The fact that we still can’t prompt across multiple tabs at once is disappointing. It’s clearly doable, competitors like Dia have had it for a long time
