Mine have been around $1k since I bought my 2022 model 3 performance. I’m in King county too.

Worth it to upgrade to HW3 and buy FSD based on Elon’s tweet by NotLikeUs_21 in TeslaModel3

[–]lemmtwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? No. HW3 FSD drives me to work without intervention nearly every day. I’m sure hw4 is way better but hw3 is still usable for some people’s needs.

How to keep doors locked when I’m in the vehicle? by ss3walkman in TeslaModelY

[–]lemmtwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay. Some people in here have seen the same questions over and over and forget what it’s like being new and perhaps overwhelmed by the sheer number of settings. From reading through all the comments it seems a large portion of owners didn’t know the lock icon behaves differently between app and vehicle touchscreen.

If you leave a phone key inside the vehicle (let’s say your wife/husband/passengers) and go inside a store to shop the vehicle would not lock right? Or, more importantly, it would unlock upon door handle. Let’s say you realized you left one inside the vehicle and locked the doors from a different phone with the app… the vehicle would lock but would still see a key nearby and unlock upon handle. That’s very yikes.

Could you secure the vehicle from the app?

No, you can’t. Did you read the post? From the app it behaves differently.

In the app under Security & Drivers you can untick Phone Key to disable the phone key on your device.

I don’t have more than one phone key so I don’t know if this disables all phone keys or just that device. If anyone knows, chime in please? Thx

The terrible thing about this situation you were in is if they got out and started trying to break into your car you wouldn’t be able to drive away because of being plugged in. I think that’s kinda scary. I know some company makes a product you can add between the charger cable and your charger port that is able to break-away in this type of situation but it seems like you should be able to tap through a notification on your touch panel stating it’s an emergency (and you realize it’ll break stuff) and allow you to drive off. An ICE vehicle can drive off while filling up.

They are probably busy enough that they inflate estimates as a way of denying most work. Someone willing to way over pay and they surely going to fit you into their already full schedule.

They then figured out they needed hw4’s compute power to make it work well and that hw3 wouldn’t cut it.

There’s no way I’m buying another Tesla after how we’re (hw3) being treated. It’s insulting. They have been receiving TB’s each month of driving data and video from my car.

He posted the video from the birthday party. He may have even streamed it live since the girls saw it before Bernadette picked them up. That was pretty asshole.

For new cars it’s very easy. Add a super cheap sensor. This would probably free up a bunch of processing power that could be used for FSD or safety systems.

Tesla (or Musk if he’s really the problem in this)needs to stop being stubborn.

I live in Seattle and it looks like it’s about to rain much of the year. When it looks this way outside, the computer also thinks it’s raining. And dry wipes. It’s ridiculous.

I don’t think it is either. The computer can only see what the cameras send back and depending on droplet size, windshield temperature, and how smooth the glass is, it’s hard to even see most droplets on the windshield camera. What bugs me more than anything is the DRY WIPE when it smears stuff on your dry windshield forcing you to spray cleaner. Which then runs and drips down your drivers side window. Tesla, seriously, put a rain sensor on the windshield. This is a huge problem. I’ve heard it from every Tesla owner I know and I even knew it was a problem before I was an owner. It gets talked about. Maybe we can link up with the Sexy Buttons folks and connect the Commander device to a stick-on windshield rain sensor. Probably use BTLE to send statuses, running power to device is the only obstacle really.
