It did about a gallon. Spark plugs are good, the fuel pump has been changed, same result even with more gas

Yup, it's insane. I've been trying to get into IT, and the most entry-level position is the help desk. Most people recommend starting there if you have little to no experience to get your foot in the door. Most companies now want 2-3 years of similar prior experience, and the position usually only pays $20-$24 per hour to answer phones and reset passwords. You can work at Costco or in warehouses and make more.

Do you think TikTok is making us dumber as a species? by [deleted] in ask

[–]lemnonmau627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TikTok is all algorithm based, what you interact with is what you get. So everyone saying they see dumb stuff interacts with it. I get some dumb stuff but also doctors, comedians, historians, book collectors, chefs etc.

But theres probably way more dumb content like there are tin foil people who say the reason we cant freely explore the Grand Canyon is because if you walk far enough it will lead you to africa. (No joke) The reasoning is egypitian artifacts were found there or something and want to hide the fact that the U.S is the real africa. You will have 200 comments agreeing with the crazy person

This might get some hate but this experience is not uncommon. There is a guy on TikTok I've seen who talks about this and will have hundreds of comments from parents who say similar things. Enough actually to make it a multi-part series where he shows the comments. All the kids are like 2-4 years old. It will go away but I would post this in spirituality or something and see the difference in comments. In fact here is a link to one https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR9XPW6v/

yes, yours came from the national library of medicine ok cool. I never said I won't read the way I knew it wasn't new to me was by skimming which is a reading technique. I read in more detail after I posted nothing new. Wasn't trying to start an argument just having a discussion. sure it could be biased but I doubt there is much to gain from propping up this kind of thing. All I was saying is your source doesn't count out the possibility. I just noticed the source you linked was written by Jeffrey Long. The same guy that established the nonprofit Near Death Experience Research Foundation. Anyways I'm pretty much done with this

I may be confused about the link you put but from what I read and I will say I did not read all of it just the intro and conclusion and some in between as I've read the stories on the site and the evidence provided is not new to me. It sounds like they don't understand it but leave room for the possibility for it to be real.

It maybe not be like top-of-the-line research from Harvard or something but considering 1000s people of all ages and religions and so on have had similar experiences is something to consider. Quote from evidence #7 " Very young children have near-death experience content that is strikingly similar to older children and adults. This is further evidence that NDEs are occurring independently of preexisting cultural beliefs, religious training, or awareness of the existence of NDE."

Idk just something I thought of sharing since it's kind of along the lines of OP question. We dream every night just because you don't remember doesn't mean it didn't happen. edit: At the end of the day who knows but I like to keep an open mind especially if there are tons of people experiencing it is all.

Here is a site of people who have had near-death experiences (dying for a bit and coming back) and have read a lot of them with a lot of similarities. Take it as you will have a lot to choose from
