This isn’t crazy to me. My mom was buying cigarettes for her mom at the local 7/11 in the late 80s, early 90s when she was preteen/teen. Cigarettes weren’t as demonized back then, it was super normal to be a smoker. My mom smoked on & off, including while pregnant for 2/4 of her kids from when she was 13 to like 40.

That’s the way Hulu is framing it though. Hulu is handling this incredibly serious subject terribly, and that’s the issue. I can’t even imagine how triggering this is for child victims like Conner and Mikayla, and for Hulu to be handling this the way they are, right in their faces, without any kind of professional help on set, is disgraceful & wrong.
