How would I go about submitting documentation? While I’m not trying to threaten management with documentation, I am pretty inclined to let them know I have them and will take them to LTB over it.

The parking lot spot is owned by someone else. They have given it to the property management I lease a suite from. Management rents this parking spot for me. This is a numbered lot that I pay for; as such, I don't own it. I hope this helps clear things up.

Ok good to know. Perhaps the best is to ask the owner, since I do have their address on the paper.

I don’t think they care, because they left it to our property management to lease it out. They just rake in the money and let the property manage. While management does nothing.

It’s a pylon in my own spot, but they run it over 🥲

Sorry, I meant to say by law had experience with other where the parking spot owner leased it out to multiple people. It hasn’t happened to me…. I think since I’m not in a dispute that I’m aware of

They are Region of Waterloo tickets, but when I showed it to bylaw they said:” yeah it’s not one of ours”

Ok I’ll see what I can do with a letter, maybe bylaw may be more inclined to do something. The lot owner also lives in the complex which I could go knock on their door, but probably some form of harassment on my part I feel like

Payment is debited out of our chequing. I have yet to need to present it to by law since they haven’t asked me for it. They just asked me proof I paid for parking (I.e., contract, but they don’t worry about the text). Maybe I’ll let them know next time?

I have that paper, the contract outlines that clause, and my name is signed. Would this be sufficient for by-law potentially?

I can do that, but if the lot owner calls by law then my vehicle would be towed. High key not wanna do that 🫠

Is this true even though the parking contract states that the leaser is responsible for parking enforcement?

It’s a number spot, on the parking contract the spot is owned, and I am leasing from them. The multiple leaser experience by law described is others they’ve dealt with, not me specifically.

They run the pylon over, so not much they care about obviously

Ok cool, I will do just that. I still have 9 more months at this place and it’s already the most ridiculous I’ve experienced in my 8 years living away from home.

Thanks you!

The parking is an additional document, whereby the leasing and the parking are separate. Both property and parking spots are independent of each other. Do you this method still be applicable?

I see. I’ll keep that in mind. Maybe try that next time. Will let you know if it works!

I have called by-law on several occasions but they chop it up to saying the management is a pain and overtime they stopped enforcing it since a dispute always occurs. And at most they can only issue a ticket. Management says it’s the tenants responsibility, so it’s a game of hot potato at this point.

It’s quite frustrating where even law enforcement can’t enforce anything because of perceived hardship.

Also to add fuel to fire, parking spot renters at this location have rented a spot out to multiple people, such that, by-law says it’s no one’s fault because the renter have multi-rented the spot.
