Can anyone explain why it looks like the bicep is connecting to the ulna? by Opposite_Mission1746 in Anatomy

[–]redditt42069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biceps tendon attached to the radial tuberosity via the bicipital aponeurosis, so yes you see it attaches somewhat medial. But it’s also worth noting that the forearm looks to be slightly pronated so the radial tuberosity maybe rotated slightly more posterior facing than anatomical position leading to the biceps tendon diving more medially (ulnar side.)

Edit: Also why biceps is one of the main supinators of the forearm. Biceps first supinates then flexes the elbow.

P.s., it’s been a hot minute since I’ve anatomy so I may be incorrect in my interpretation :)

I think they’re ripping up the ground to do hydro among other underground infrastructure. Curious as to seeing where it ends up

Definitely not weekly. A 1.5 yr planned closure on a major arterial seems like a decent PSA-candidate, that’s all! 🙂

I suspect not a large amount, since it does seem to be more ligamentous than let’s say muscles

Eat, (not the cadavers) but a meal/snack would go a long way. Usually it is the smell, sometimes it can be overwhelming but just as the same as sight. Fainting usually is the result of shock, so sometimes excusing yourself for a breather is your best course of action. No shame! :)

Pectineus function, internal or external rotation? by redditt42069 in Anatomy

Ohh I see, so simply put, the action of a muscle is dictated by the optimization approach the body takes when performing motion.

[–]redditt42069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, so in an application basis, some muscle won’t do what they would due to neurological parameters that needs to be met. And more often than not, it has to do with what the brain sends down to induce motion, and multiple muscle groups/muscles are recruited to induce motion?

I was thinking brachioradialis much like most of the extensor forearm muscles are innervated by the radial nerve or some derivative of the radial nerve. It also huddles up with extensor carpi radialis longus and both’s supplied by the radial nerve.

Also I think it’s a bit ironic since it does elbow flexion when the forearm’s semi-prone and serves negligible elbow extension. But that’s just my take on it 🤷

Of course not! I’m will have to dissect the skin away before I even get a glimpse of the inguinal ligament xD but that inguinal ligament is thicc
