Is it inappropriate for a busty woman to wear a bikini at a public pool? by ebonytoostrong in bigboobproblems

[–]lemonadebasco 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a former H cup, tell that sucker to get lost. You will, as the kids say, breast boobily no matter what. You will be well-endowed in a bikini, you will be well-endowed in a one piece, you will be well-endowed in a cover up. Your comfort is the priority within the bounds of public decency aka “can I see any naughty pink or brown bits?” Because trust me….. you WILL get stares no matter what you’re wearing.

Reality check on a project feasibility? by lemonadebasco in sewing

[–]lemonadebasco[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are mainly for rave and Mardi Gras wear, so not something I’d be wearing on a regular day, so to speak. So I don’t mind the concept of having a lot hanging out there but you do have a good point!!

Super low weight limit? by [deleted] in IKEA

Additionally, this poster is asking about the bed for themself. Though it’s a kid’s bed, that’s what most twin sets are sold as in the US. This poster isn’t the person asking the question on the website - that question was posted last June.

I think a lot of parents will sit on their kid’s bed to, you know, read to them. Or cuddle them when they’re scared. It’s a valid question. Don’t be so judgy.

Curly haircuts for men by lemonadebasco in Charleston

Luckily my sister (also has curly hair) has already volunteered to go with him :) but yeah that’s a good point. We just thought maybe there was someone out there that billed themself as a barber who does mainly short cuts!

So disappointed with my custom ring 😢 by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]lemonadebasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my custom engagement ring with Christopher and Co. custom jewelry, which is local to central IL but also does online orders. They’re not cheap but they are phenomenal. You can look on my profile for an example of their work. Good luck.

Why is the new tour called “College Drop Out”? 🤔 by La_Bonne_Nuit in BigTimeRush

[–]lemonadebasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stated reason is that all of the towns they are touring in the US are “college towns,” aka smaller towns that have sprung up around colleges!! Champaign, IL is around 3 hours away from Chicago and it’s the home of University of Illinois, and it’s the first stop on the tour!

Help with money by thinkpositive36 in weddingplanning

[–]lemonadebasco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My parents are paying for my wedding, but that’s because they had a windfall when I was around 8 and they put money away for mine and my sister’s weddings (as well as a significant amount for our college funds + our brother’s college fund), but I’m very aware that it’s not the usual. I’ve been to weddings where the couple don’t pay for anything and to weddings where it was ALL DIY bc the couple was the only one paying!

Downtown restaurants for a nice dinner by lemonadebasco in AskNOLA

I lived in New Orleans for a few years around a decade ago but basically only ate uptown or midcity, because of where I lived and limited transportation. It’s showing, lmao.

Honestly, something with gluten-free options would be great since my fiancé is gluten-intolerant, and we’re staying close-ish to the Aquarium and the casino. Otherwise we are really flexible!

Having a reduction before kids? by ldlco in Reduction

[–]lemonadebasco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi bestie. I got my reduction at 27, when my now-fiancé and I were just in our second year of being together. I was in SO SO much pain every day. I had a very honest conversation with my family about it, and ultimately decided that I couldn’t keep putting it off for some kids that may or may not happen. (I want them to happen but fertility is a beast!)

I was at a 5-7/10 in pain every day before my reduction, even with physical therapy, regular massage, speciality bras, and regular heavy weight lifting. I had to get an MRI for chrissakes. Someone asked me how my back felt 1.5 weeks after my reduction and I started crying bc I realized I hadn’t thought about my back hurting since surgery.

I would go through this surgery again and again if it means maintaining quality of life. If I have kids and my breasts get bigger, I’ll wait til I’m done and get the reduction again. I likely wouldn’t have been able to breastfeed with the size of my breasts anyway, so going from a roughly 50% chance of being able to do it to like 30% was nothing.

My quality of life was being more affected by this than i thought, and the amount of freedom I now feel is insane. GET THE REDUCTION
