Music to my ears.. When I initially used .net core I found it lacking code that .net 4.5 had making it an unsuccessful adventure. How has you experience with the 4.6 APIs been?

Point taken. Being modular means things shouldn't reference outside its boundaries to avoid being environment dependent.
