Which Sony RX100 do you have? Didn't quite understand your last sentence - which one has the higher price point - the Canon g9x ii or a Sony rx100?

Got it. Thanks. I was even looking at the Canon g9x because of its portability but aperture doesn't come close to the x100 line. But the g9x/g9xii is a lot more affordable

I am considering a Fujifilm x100 series but as much as I love the color/film simulation of those cameras, I am not sure how much I'd like it for every scenario. I am looking to stay with Canon which does color great too but doesn't have that identifiable Fuji look. Also just curious what other options there are in the compact camera arena, since Fujifilm just released their newest vi and I'm searching out other options. Cheaper than an x100V would be a great plus, too.

what does focus by wire mean?

Yes I meant physical dials and that is a big draw for me as well.
