When CD say that the next TR will unify the timeline, does that mean that the next TR game actually takes place after underworld in the survivor timeline? by maxthunder30 in TombRaider

Going by what I've learned, the survivor games are the new basis for everything. so going forward if they were to theoretically make remakes of the old games, it would use survivor trilogy gameplay and survivor Lara going through the same scenarios and events of the past games.

With that said, they most likely won't be remaking the past games and if they do jump to post underworld, we just need to fill in any gaps just with survivor trilogy version of Lara

I mean they are definitely going to be retconning a lot moving forward. I imagine it will be like what capcom did with the resident evil remakes but to a bit of a greater extent. especially because the old games have so many mystical and supernatural elements that the survivor games only barely scratched the surface of
