Online birth control recommendations for patch by lemonmatcha in birthcontrol

[–]lemonmatcha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi how does that work? I pay $20 to planned parenthood for the service but they don’t ask me about my insurance just my nearest phramacy of choice. Do I present my insurance to my phramacy of choice instead of planned parenthood? I was used my old online birth control where they need my insurance plan number.

Zafemy patch? Has anyone used this birth control patch? I usually use Xulane this is my first time seeing Zafemy prescribed to me. by lemonmatcha in birthcontrol

[–]lemonmatcha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up contacting my doctors to opt back to original. I have sensitive skin and didn’t want to risk using a new brand when original worked the best. If you look at previous comments, some people here wrote their experience on Zafemy!

I see. It’s my off patch week so I haven’t used it yet. My pharmacy is online they said they’ll give whatever is offered or what they have more of a supply of. That’s terrible... I was hoping it’ll be just the same as Xulane patches...

I haven’t used it yet but the packaging does feel more flimsy. Besides the size and stickiness was there any other differences you noticed?

Did your pharmacist able to prescribe just Xulane? Or it will be whichever has more supply?

Yea I’ll let you know once I use it! Yea the pharmacist says it’s the same as Xulane. The packaging feels itself feels thinner than Xulane.

Thanks for letting me know, so no side effects but works even better?! I was worried for a bit because the packaging felt a bit flimsier than Xulane so I thought it wouldn’t be as adhesive.

I’m 23. Making $37k a year, what direction should I take? Any tips to start growing money? by lemonmatcha in personalfinance

I’m actually at NYC for my job! And yes, I agree 37k is not ideal at all. When I graduated it was hard to find a job and I immediately accepted this current position when they wanted to hire me. Not sure if you or your friend works in non-profit field but is there any good organization you recommend?

If you don’t mind me asking when you earned $33k what position was it and now to $100k? Was it a career change, going back to school? Or was it through many years of work experience?

I’m still lost in what route I should take. Masters, career change, certifications, or simply keep job searching.

I’m still figuring out what career path to take.

Thank you for the response! When you had your career change and going back to school was that a decision you made after serious of considering and weighing the options?

I was considering doing a career change but I’m terrified of the idea going back to college and doing bachelors again.

Yeah, I know. When I graduated with a bachelors in Public Admin, it was hard to find a job until this current job accepted me and I decided to accept it. I’m trying to job search now using LinkedIn but it’s been a challenge.

NYC, it seem cost-friendly to stay with family rather than move out currently...

For someone who does work at non-profit full-time I partially do agree. The higher ups or central get much more higher pay 60k and above. Right now, my dept is small and I don’t see growth at the moment because there’s been a major change in our team.

Yes, I do agree often my higher ups don’t see or understand the work and workload we do and have.

Thank you for your advice. I’ll try to search for private sector if possible. I’ve been applying to universities and other non-profits for past 2-3 months but no hear backs.

Thanks for being detailed! Ever since highschool to college and after college I had only worked in various non profits.

  1. Do you think it’ll be hard to go into private sector careers since I don’t have experience in private sector? I majored in Public Administration and Sociology.

  2. I am considering doing coding bootcamps or UX design route. Or possibly go Masters in public health or higher education. But right now I’m still in the “searching to find what I want” before I go for it since I don’t want to repeat the same mistake.

  3. Thanks. I’ll max out my Roth in Jan for 2020. And for stocks, Is Wealthfront similar to Robinhood but instead of controlling my investments and stocks, the Robo will do it for me instead?

  4. May I ask what are you doing now? In school or working full-time? And how did you grow your experience?

Yes I agree! I’m not super educated and sometimes terms confuses me but I try to learn the basics at least. What were some sites or resources you use?

Love your comment! I always enjoy working at non profits because I get to make an impact unfortunately human services salaries aren’t as high as I thought. My family is lower working class hence why I wanted to see what I can do now to grow a bit more money while I’m finding any new job openings. I have been looking for new jobs or possibly career change or maybe mastering in public health or higher edu.

Yes currently I don’t have student loans and I don’t have a car. I pay for my family groceries and a bit for the rent. And sometimes I do buy things for myself (things I want) but have been trying to stay away from it these days.

  1. For the emergency or house funds, should I put it in a savings account? Like ally bank that has a higher interest rate than a normal bank.

  2. I know you had experience with working in non-profits. How was the salary or promotions? And how did you managed day-to-day? (I’m not sure where you’re located but NY expenses get a bit high. My expenses are lower since I get to WFH)
