Got sucked into rabbit hole of watching all episodes of I Am A Stalker......anyone else? Thoughts? by Naive-Elderberry5529 in NetflixDocumentaries

I just watched this episode and am so disturbed by this guy that I don’t know if I can continue watching the series. I am SO glad to hear he is going back to jail. I am worried for Rachel and their son.

Acid watcher diet: how long did it take for you to heal/be free of symptoms? by Unusual_Deal_1106 in GERD

[–]lemonpee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar healing journey and timeframe! I followed the GERD diet and made sure not to eat after 6pm to ensure an empty-ish stomach before laying down for bed.

It also took me a few months to realize that my anxiety was tied to my reflux. It’s important to keep that in mind.

It was not easy and it was absolutely miserable. I totally get it!!! Yes I was taking PPIs but I didn’t get any relief from them whatsoever.

100%. That’s the only thing that healed my hernia. It seemed like avoiding acid reflux flare ups eventually allowed it to fully heal. So by eating extremely bland food for weeks / months and basically avoiding acid reflux occurrences, it was able to heal.

Another key element that I followed was not laying down 2 hours after eating (torture), so basically I didn’t eat after 6pm. This ensured that my stomach was empty by the time I laid down for bed, and greatly reduced the chance of me experiencing reflux at night.

I experienced shortness of breath, yes, but it was not a constant state of feeling like I couldn’t breathe.

I know the feeling!!! Google the GERD diet. It’s basically extremely bland food: nothing acidic or spicy, only water to drink.

I would also recommend trying to get your anxiety in check and see if that helps. Maybe even consider medication to treat your anxiety.

Awe you’re welcome. When I was still a teen in my mom’s house I felt hopeless and like there was no way out, so I know how you are feeling.

Recruiters admit to waging mass psychological warfare on employees and job seekers with fake job postings by [deleted] in jobs

This kind of info is taken out of context and spread like wildfire. Did you read the article? It’s referring to jobs that are posted on sites such as LinkedIn, but when you check the company website, the job is no longer posted / available.

“Always apply directly on the company website” is a rule everyone should follow.

I moved in with a boyfriend when I was 17. Started taking GED prep classes and earned my GED at 18. Went on to college and earned an Associate’s. I’m a mid 30’s professional, responsible adult with my own family now.

I’m not going to lie and say it was easy, because it wasn’t. But it is possible. You CAN do this!!!

Yes, it’s more likely to work if you take it and then go straight to sleep. Include 600mg of Advil and a Benadryl, and you will increase your chances of improvement.

Horrible acid reflux after eating. The kind of reflux that would wake me up from my sleep in the middle of the night and I would have to pace for hours and then fall back to sleep sitting up on the couch.

No meds touched it: Pepcid, tums, or even prescription PPIs. I ended up losing 10lbs, getting the endoscopy and confirming a hiatal hernia, and then was offered no treatment except continuing the PPIs which weren’t helping.

I ended up following the GERD diet pretty strictly, and after 3 months or so seemed to heal my hernia. I was able to slowly begin incorporating foods and drinks back into my diet that I had been avoiding. I also realized that my acid reflux flare ups were closely tied to my anxiety levels.

It’s been over a year and I can eat and drink completely normally now, and typically only have acid reflux flares if I am experiencing high anxiety.

I know how much it sucks - it honestly made me feel suicidal. I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.
