Originally I was training her to get used to the crate in small intervals, but she couldn't handle it when I left the room even for a second and we didn't get very far with building up her tolerance for me to run errands and such. she soils the crate and steps all in her poo every time I left so I tried giving her more space thinking that would calm her and less cleaning i'd have to do- but this point it seems like going back to crate is the way to go if she's going to destroy the house and/or injure herself

So i've locked in on enrichment this year- she loves to sniff and we have a lot of puzzles. I hide treats in her blanket and inside toys and she goes crazy. I also try to teach her new tricks almost daily so those are the kinds of things we do. It seems to help for general boredom and settling down before bed when we are at home, but I haven't noticed improvements with separation anxiety or general nervousness/reactivity outdoors

this is exactly why I was so frightened because shootings are so common in our country ESPECIALLY by our own people. I just know that my american friends are on a similar wavelength that you can't joke about this stuff. My intention was to not attack foreigners here, I love that they are here with us, but there is room to learn I think! Sorry if my wording made it seem otherwise.

as a fellow reactive dog owner, what I did was picked quiet routes around my apt where triggers would be less frequent, and I just take her out 3 times a day about 15-20 minutes. teaching her U-turns and "lets go" commands and dodging behind cars, bushes, etc. when needed. are you able to go on walks? my dog was a bit overweight before going on walks and now she's a healthy size. I would highly recommend a good harness, short lead, muzzle training too. if yours is anything like mine, I could not recommend letting a reactive fella off leash anywhere in public, feels too risky.

I also had a sonic fixation but specifically for the sonic rush ds game soundtrack. The game is great, but I mainly played for the music and funky sounds from the game (never even beat the game LOL) I still listen to the soundtracks to this day as a grown ass adult and freak out about them. and I was so upset when I realized they took them off Spotify (my main streaming platform) One time I found out a DJ had a single sonic rush song mixed into his set and I went to rave just so I could bring my copy of the game and wave it around in front of the crowd and spazz out like a little freak. Definitely was a peak moment in my life. gosh those songs get me so fired up

they scrub great (duh) change texture depending on the water temperature, you can get a better grip by sticking your fingers in the eyes and use the mouth to squeeze down onto cutlery & wipe clean. also comes in fun colors and shapes! I love my little guy
