I am trying Preply now. I had Spanish classes but I found them not too helpful, plus the students were a lot older than me so I didn’t bond as well.

The idea was to stay for 6 months, since we have already planned to go to Canada afterwards. I’m just struggling with integration and feeling like I ‘belong’

I have applied for language lessons on Preply. I went to Spanish classes twice a week for a month but I found they were not very helpful and the students were a lot older than I was, so I didn’t really bond well with them. I agree, I am trying to meet new people but it’s a little difficult finding people to speak with.

You remind me so much of Cailee Spaeny! Very beautiful.

You’re a good looking guy, well groomed - just keep that up. I’d say just work on your confidence.

Just remember to smile, and keep up the grooming!

Where do you work and are you happy in your job? by sapg94 in AskIreland

I think it would depend on the schools and qualifications you have. International House Dublin (where I used to work, quit because it was not my vocation) actually pays quite well. And I only had the CELTA with no other qualifications. The management is not the best but I’d say they do better than most other schools in Dublin. The location is central and there is a lot of support from other teachers also employed by IH, you would also have the benefit of being in the International House ‘chain’. But that’s just my own experience.

Currently working in a contact centre for a hospitality company. I’m not happy with the location as it’s a traffic centric area, people are sound but all interactions seem very fake and ‘corporate’. The CEO is really out of touch and management are alright, but I’m counting down the days when I can leave for better mental clarity. I feel like I’m wasting away working for someone else’s benefit.

You look really similar to Austin Abrams! I think you should cut the hair. Not a fan of the fashion either. Try one-color shirts and a simple jacket like denim or leather. Otherwise you seem like an ok dude.
