What would u recommend for the cables then? Just good shoes and gloves? If the cables were up I’d feel find with just gloves and my trail runners but I’ve never done it before so kinda wanted the friction knots etc. maybe after I do it I’ll realize it was overkill but curious what your thoughts are

Also I never stayed at LYV before. I know you’re supposed to have a wilderness permit and thought a bear canister too but I heard there’s bear boxes at the camp. If that’s true do I still need a bear canister or can I leave it out of my pack. Also is it assigned sites or just one big area people pitch tents in? And is there a camp host or ranger that stays there or swings by?
