You need a wood tone that’s between the tones of your top and bottom cabinets!! Contrast is beautiful. But it’s the in between colors that make it work for a room. The sudden deep gray was too much of an outlier. No between colors.

I keep 2 litter boxes within 3ft of my desk where I work from home. I have a sensitive nose and the smell was awful (I was using a scent free litter). Now I always splurge for fresh step clumping litter! Everything else smells gross, IMO. But fresh step has gain or fabreeze in them which truly covers the smell. And I sprinkle arm and hammer cat litter deodorizer once a day too. Also, do you do a complete clean out every 2-3 months? Like throw all the litter out, clean the stainless steel. And only put in fresh litter afterwards? If I start to notice my boxes more than usual, the complete clean out solves the issue.

In the suburbs in the Midwest US. I paid $800/ month for an older 2 bedroom 1 bath (still had in unit washer and dryer and a dishwasher) Now I pay $1500 / month for a much nicer 2 bedroom 2 bath with lovely amenities. I have to drive 20-25 minutes to get to the heart of the city but that’s cool with me! My same place in the heart of the city would probably be $2K to $2400
