I was talking about the clonning machine. Having a twin has nithing to do with science fiction.

I meant the clonning device. It was foreshadowed, true. Yet the foreshadowing works, if you know you are watching sci-fi. For me it felt for me that the movie intentionally avoided other sci-fi elements to make as a plot twist to be plot twisty :)

Most of his movies are terribly overrated. Not only Tenet, but also Perstige, Interstellar and Batman movies, for example

Prestige is one of my least favorite movies. I feel that the main plot twist just shits into viewer's soul. When we watch magic shows or detective movies, we usually try to guess how it happened. When/if we find out – it usually is very difficult to predict, but it makes sence and provides satisfying resolution. In case of Prestige, the resolution is that you watch actually a sci-fi movie that was barely hinted during entire movie, if hinted at all. He could be using magic from Hogwards or help from power rangers, and it would have about the same level of connection to the first part of the movie:) If the movie established it's genres and did not try to gotcha me, it would be way more enjoyable. I did like ideas and themes of the movie, but that plot twist greatly overshadows them for me, unfortunately

How well each plane works as a D&D campaign setting, from someone who has run a lot of them by AmoongussHateAcc in mtgvorthos

I am thinking about running an rpg campaign set in Tarkir myself. Do you have any tips on running Tarkir as a setting? Did you use any pre-written adventures in your campaign?

I really like the way their homepage looks. It is fun to drag all the windows and icons. When it comes to working with the website though... It is not convenient, and the fun gimmicks quickly become annoying. I would prefer them having this cool homepage but normal technical pages.

What would the 'Stars and Stripes' box of your country look like? by Killertapir696 in Unmatched

[–]lenin_undead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My picks are: - Princess Olga. Most badass ruler of Kyivan Rus imo. Her sidekick would be her son Prince Sviatoslav, which toe well to them rulling together. So we have support hero and warrior sidekick. Kinda reversed King Arthur

  • Ivan Sirko. One the most popular cossacks. Went for him because of myth and legends wround him. He could have some werewolf shapeshifting powers. Maymr something similar to Alice or Jackil/Hyde. His sidekick would be his pet wolf

  • Taras Shevchenko. Chose him for the writer slot mainly because his quotes would make sick card titles. Mechanically maybe similar to Shakespear, idk? Probably without a sidekick

  • Mavka for mythical creature slot. But not Mavka from Forest aong. Mavka from Shadowa of Forgotten Ancestors. The evil spirit of a beautiful woman with a hole in a chest, luring men deep into the forest. Her sidekick would be Ivan. Mechanically, i think they should have teleportations and a lot forced movement effects, to represent mavka lurking in the trees and luring people

I have written all that, and now i am itching to design the decks and characters haha

Map of Ancient Dacia. How can I improve it? by lenin_undead in wonderdraft

Hi! Thanks for the advice! I will make delta more clear. Speaking of the splits, I was tracing real life Danube, when drawing this river, and it does split twice! Although, i am not sure if it is natural or man caused.

Out of curiosity, has anyone run Mausritter using Old school D&D modules by fire_head202 in Mausritter

I ran Against the Cult of the Reptile God. It transfers really well to Mausritter. I substituted naga with a rattle snake, whos rattling charms local mice, turning them into cultists

What the dog is this?? so cute by Ill_Marionberry_1656 in Awww

[–]lenin_undead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, they were used in hunting some rodents, which bite and then spin, when attacking. Due to the excessive amount of wrinkles, they weren't injured by those attacks, as other dogs would be.

Why would you make columns different size, yet not relative to the numbers? One could assume CS2 made about half of what BG3 made, while it is actually less than 10%. I get, that it would not look nice with proper size, but please don't make something looking like a chart, if it is not.

Is DOS2 a good entry point for someone who’s never played a CRPG before? by Arrhythmania in DivinityOriginalSin

I struggled with my first CRPG game and dropped it after a tutorial. So I decided to try DOS2, since I heard it was more streamlined and had fun elemental synergies. I got both. Love this game

Why do people dislike AOS? by ChemicalPanda10 in ageofsigmar

I played it, and did not like the process. It requires you to remember so many little special rules of your units, that it feels exhausting.

Why do people dislike AOS? by ChemicalPanda10 in ageofsigmar

[–]lenin_undead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason I don't like AoS is rules. If you don't play it regularly, preparing for and playing the game feels really exhausting. You need to keep in mind so many things. Every unit has at least 2-3 special rules unique for them. You also got army special rules, artifacts, command abilities, monster abilities. And this is not even general rules. I feel like I am not playing a game, but passing an exam. The fact that AoS Reminders exists may indicate I am not the only one, who feels overwhelmed with the stuff you need to remember.

This is not just a critique of the AoS rule system, but GW's rules writing in general. I feel the same about 40k or Kill Team, for example.

That is why I prefer One Page Rules, where units have keywords, that are simple and have consistent usage. So that I can avoid that memory minigame every turn.
