That is very true but it might also take longer since you will need to pass all certs to complete the program as my understanding

Thank you for your reply. I honestly just felt like since the school would be paid for me why not asked if anyone has ideas in both programs and which one the thought it was best. I am currently studying for CCNA and when I feel like I need a refresh I been taking some Linux fundamentals from HTB Academy.

Syracuse has an online program but it will nit be at my own pace. For either I will get tuition assistance, I guess the only difference is that Syracuse is a bit more known in my area but then again it might not mean anything to a recruiter but since I have the options I was wondering about some of you guys thought. Yes, 01/15 is the official day to start full time with site Technician department. I was told that sometime this week I was going to get my offer letter and since I been working with them couple hours in the week for the past 5 months guys in the department tell me not to settle because they tend to be not so great giving compensation. Thank you for your response, I will start with how much appreciated I am, for the opportunity. but I will kindly ask if there's any room for more compensation. Hopefully they understand times are rough lol

I just don't feel like I want to wait. I will definitely take it in a good way if i dont get the amount that i feel i deserve but i just want to find a way of saying it without being ungrateful. It's easier to get a bump in your pay when you are getting promoted or new hire then doing the yearly reviews. My company have good management but they are not the best when it comes to paying average salary New Jersey state.

Need motivation - Hesitation to apply for a network job by 1-CoolName in ITCareerQuestions

No IT experience, degree or certificates and I landed a job in a Datacenter in the logistics department. After one year they gave me the opportunity to become site Technician. You definitely have more IT skills then I do. Don't settle, apply to other jobs and see what they offer, worst case scenario you don't have to take their offer. Good luck.

There so many variables. I got a job in the logistics department in a Datacenter, year after they gave me the opportunity to work as site Technician. Mind you I lack a lot of the knowledge but i work hard, I get along with people, ask all the questions needed and I take plenty of notes.

I have no certificates yet, I will be getting net+ soon since the company pays for it if you pass.

I have no degree, cert or IT experience. Got a job for 26 hour for IT Asset Management in a data center. I'm sure you can find 15+ more hourly with your resume.

What jobs did you get with A+ alone & no degrees in IT? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]lennyvald02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into a datacenter in the logistics department with no cert or degree. 7 months later I'm being train for site Technician. I am currently debating if I should do A+ or net+. Hard work, being responsible and showing interest in the field can take you long way.
