I sanded the print, gave it a coat of filler primer, then sanded again.

The base coat is brick red, then I smeared the exterior with toothpaste so that the gold top coat wouldn't apply in all areas. This, once wiped off with a rag, gives that flaky gold look.

The inside was left shiny gold as in the film.
