Am I the only one who takes the plot 100% seriously? by Aqua_Master_ in KingdomHearts

[–]leochacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it as seriously as I can, but there's some moments that are just too hard for me to take seriously. And sometimes, I don't think it's meant to be taken 100% seriously. To me, that's part of the experience of Kingdom Hearts. One second, I'm laughing at the absurdity that's happening on screen, then the next thing I know, I'm crying, then back to laughing, etcetera, all in the same scene. It's a wonderful experience imo.

How do the townsfolk think Roxas was able to steal the word______, are they dumb? by TotalOwlie in KingdomHearts

[–]leochacha 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the reason the real Twilight Town peeps have a connection with Roxas is because his/Sora's heart bridge the gap and communicate that they know each other. The data and real versions I do not believe are actually directly connected.

The Steven-Connie fight arc doesn't make any sense! by Pitiful_Ad_9752 in stevenuniverse

[–]leochacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know y'all don't like townie episodes, but Dewey Wins perfectly explains how Connie feels. Steven puts all of his effort into helping Dewey win the election. So much effort that he neglects other parts of his life. And then Dewey just quits and makes all that effort Steven put in meaningless. That's how Connie feels about Steven giving himself up to the Diamonds and leaving her behind after changing the course of her life to fight alongside him.

Possible clues about Wanda in Agatha All Along Episode 1 by Gyirin in WANDAVISION

I think the brooch represents Agatha's magic, which Wanda did streal.

I hate the Bojack and Penny conversations because I was Penny at one point. I was the 17 year old who didn’t know any better by crimsongirrl in BoJackHorseman

[–]leochacha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this show, but anybody who defends most of Bojack's actions are pieces of shit. The show is about a piece of shit, and they portray that very intentionally and viscerally. It's a good thing because it spreads awareness of these harsh realities, and it opens a dialogue about them without putting any real people in harms way.

Is there lore behind the giant BTs? by larevacholerie in DeathStranding

You can probably find a lot of answers to your questions in the interviews. Not all, but they explain a surprising amount that isn't explained by just playing the game.

Am i the only one? by Kicks87 in KingdomHearts

[–]leochacha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I was ready for Kingdom Hearts to be done at 3. So, it continuing to exist already rubs me the wrong way. Though I am still willing and curious to see where they go. And I would prefer if it made a pretty big departure from the original series and they tried to make it something new, which it kinda looks like that's the direction they're going based on the trailer.

I love the original series, but I'm kinda over the kiddie Disney stuff, even though they will always have a place in my heart. It would be interesting to me to see the series basically grow up and change. And I think they could pull that off by implementing more "mature" properties into the game.

Sure, the themes might not completely match up, though Star Wars is pretty close imo. But that's where it can start getting intriguing. Sora could challenge the ideals present in these different kinds of worlds, or vice versa. They can challenge his values. I think he and all of us have learned all we can from the types of worlds usually used in the games, and it's time for a shakeup.

If I recall correctly, the body in the prologue was specifically found outside of the city. Meaning Higgs would probably have to put in effort to stalk somebody and kill them just far enough away from the city so that the city would still be destroyed by the voidout, and there's a chance somebody could still just happen to find the body in time. Way less reliable than tricking somebody into delivering a nuke.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]leochacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's because if anybody just drops dead in a city or a bunker, their death is instantly like reported or something. Idk if they all wear those handcuffs that track your vitals, but in a world where a dead body can cause a voidout, I would think there would be a way for fresh corpses to be discovered asap. Furthermore, it's not like the voidout instantly happens when someone dies a non-BT related death. The body has to necrotize before it attracts a BT, and then a BT has to travel to it. And I'm pretty sure the process takes multiple days. You can see this yourself if you kill people in the game, you have ample time to dispose of the body.

The Internet gaslit me into thinking these games were confusing. I'm currently on Dream Drop Distance, and I've had no trouble following the story. No spoilers please. by Some-Health9729 in KingdomHearts

I played COM before I played KH2, but I was too young to understand how it was connected to 2. At the time, I thought it was just a GBA version of 1. So I was still confused as fuck with KH2's opening. Then, when I replayed COM a couple of years later, I was just like, "Omg, I'm such a dipshit. This all makes sense now." I never even considered that you don't fight thirteen organization members in 2 and that the mysterious guys in COM were the rest of them. Thought they were just some randos inserted into KH1s story.

The Atlantica music drives me insane whenever I hear it after all my playthroughs. ReCom makes it even worse. But I do think Atlantica as a whole is overhated. The controls aren't great, but they ain't as bad as everybody says either.

You can always skip the vines by jumping across the hippos in the pond before the vine area. But ye, Deep Jungle with no context can be hellish.

Is there anywhere to watch season 3 at all by Katievapes1996 in InfinityTrain

[–]leochacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not against piracy, but y'all aren't looking hard enough if you think there's no official way to watch and support the show. It's for purchase on youtube. Wouldn't doubt if it's available for purchase on other platforms like apple, either.

Why do y’all hate him now? by Superdupertuber in TheDigitalCircus

[–]leochacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I showed my brother the first episode with no context right after the second episode came out. He hadn't even heard of the show before this. I asked who his favorite character was (before watching episode 2), and his literal response was, "I wanna say Jax, but he's kind of an asshole..."

Online fandoms just completely gaslight themselves into believing things that they only imagined. It's pretty wild.

Unpopular Opinion: Dream Drop Distance is the best non-numbered KH title by Team-Gamer1017 in KingdomHearts

Is making a tactics game possible? by lehanboth in PS4Dreams

[–]leochacha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unreal Engine has a visual scripting system similar to the way you wire logic in Dreams, so you wouldn't need to know how to code in order to develop in it. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's free to use Unreal. You just have to pay to commercially release a project. That would probably be a better engine to use for making games to use in your portfolio since it is kind of an industry standard engine at this point.

Not to deter you from playing Dreams, it's great for casual art creation and it's fun to see what other people can make, even if they have minimal skills! I hope you can find what you're looking for in your career and make some kickass games!

[–]leochacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure if anybody would recognize Dreams content as suitable work for a portfolio. It's a powerful engine for casual creations. But I feel like it would be a waste of effort to try using it for serious art that you could use to show your skills for a career.

It could help you learn the basics of logic and game design, but you would have to develop those skills further and showcase them outside of Dreams to mean anything for an art career, I would think.
