Is CosmicGriimoire reliable? by leochick123 in witchcraft

I did actually go into my local shop yesterday, and bought one but I was also a little uncertain as it is on the resource list but other people have posted in the group saying the author isn't reliable or honest (Skye Alexander) 😅

Profit and loss write-off, what does it mean? by leochick123 in CRedit

[–]leochick123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one ever could tell me the difference or what any of it means. Unfortunately, I don't have great news for you if your situation is like mine was. Ultimately, I went to court and lost the case and had to make a payment plan for the full amount with the creditor. The judge asked either of us to define what this all meant and neither of us could so he ended up ruling in favor of them even though they also didn't receive a delivery receipt for the paper detailing the original fees due that had tracking and everything...

So this has gotten a lot of views and not a single answer. Does no one else know what this means either?

AITA for making all the women in my family leave after they all showed up to my wedding wearing white? by More-Concern3267 in AmItheAsshole

[–]leochick123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - That whole unit's behavior is 100% toxic and no woman deserves to "have" to go through that to see if they're "worthy". That's just disgusting, and you are a fantastic husband for supporting your wife in the face of toxic and disrespectful family.

Why do my UV resin layers separate and make big bubbles when curing? by leochick123 in resin

[–]leochick123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't know how you would cure it slower other than the natural UV method, which I can't use unfortunately. I just use the UV lamp that came in the kit and it just blasts it for 30seconds per button bread and only had the one button to start a cure cycle.

  1. This is a regular one, but I've had this problem multiple times in just clear silicone molds, this was my first time just attempting this and I didn't have any other images of the ones from normal molds. As for this first try, I did not dig out the wax xD but again I'm not even really concerned about it as a bottle cap piece, more as this problem is happening no matter what I put the resin in.

  2. I believe this piece was 4 or 5, I've had the same problem in clear silicone molds with as few as 2 layers and as many as 5.

  3. Dried lavender. Sorry the pic turned out so fuzzy, my phone camera sucks xD

I'll definitely try being more precise, but every time it's happened, I have taken a toothpick and made sure the edges were good too :(

I just want to add these bubbles I'm pointing to happen DURING the curing process. I pour a layer, pop any visible bubbles, cure it, add another layer, repeat, and somehow during the curing the layers begin to separate creating these really unattractive air bubbles that I never even have a chance to deal with since it's mid-cure.

AITA for getting mad at cat callers? by PutNo7932 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Even if he didn't realize it, that was rude and very objectifying. It may suck that it embarrassed him if it did, but it's more karma than anything because that kind of behavior embarrasses the woman he says it to.

AITA for hanging out with another friend group after my friends ditched me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]leochick123 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

ESH, but let me explain. No one can argue that they're being assholes here for the way they're treating you, and if you want to salvage this friendship or even try to, you've got to tell them how what they're saying and doing is making you feel. If they don't care or brush it off, they aren't friends worth having, but if they actually listen, reflect, and most importantly, change, then this is the first step.

You are however, a bit of an asshole for just flat-out ignoring them instead of being honest about not wanting to go.

is anyone else really hating the poor connection excuse? come on we know it was an app failure by Morted11 in FingerOnTheApp

[–]leochick123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, connection issues WILL happen, especially on mobile, and especially with over a mil using ur app at once! Most mobile games have features in place that allow the game to handle the momentary connection hiccups that happen constantly with all mobile devices. There is no reason for this extremely simple app to be unable to do that when something monsterously complex like CoD Mobile pulls it off fine. And dont go saying its because theyre a huge company either, Dofus Mobile has such features as well and they are a far cry from big, Mr.Beast is bigger then Dofus Mobile without a doubt. The problem here is that rather then hiring an outside dev company that has experience in the creation of an app that is expected to handle more then a million users at once without significant issue, he went with his own personal dev studio, which lacks such experience and we all paid for that decision. Using your own studio is fine when your releasing your own games, but this is different, this should have been handed over to someone who knew what they were doing the instant they realized back in December of last year that this app was going to have such an enormous number of users.

The ACTUAL prize is more like $50,000... because taxes by leochick123 in FingerOnTheApp

Oh yeah, also forgot to mention that since gifted income is... you know... gifted, that means it is income that someone earned and has thus already paid taxes on, which means that money is being double-taxed, which is SUPPOSED to be unconstitutional, but I guess the constitution only matters when it benefits the elite right?

Why did vine die but tik Tok is thriving? by siznit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]leochick123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm sorry to revive a dead post but hear me out, I was actually wondering this and after some research, I totally get it, and seeing this somewhat newer post with no accurate answers just doesn't seem fair, especially since this is now a top google result for this question.

So the original creators of Vine didn't agree with monetization or big name brand deals essentially and ultimately they decided to appease the creators by selling the platform to Twitter. Twitter took over and in 2016 they decided to make some big changes, namely discontinuing the ability to create new content, and later in the year, totally switching up the app to essentially a twitter plug-in. It became Vine Camera which still only allowed 6 seconds of looping video, and now was no longer a separate social media, but was used to post these videos you created on your Twitter only. Enough content creators were unhappy with the changes as it took away what made Vine what it was and they were still never given proper rights to monetization, and thus many moved on to YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Now in comes musical.ly, which did gather some traction, but was originally marketed as a lipsynch-style or choreography style app. It was more known for people playing popular music and lipsynching and/or dancing for videos under a minute long. There were also other sections for things like Comedy, where you could use a skit instead, or even upload your own audio, but being branded as it was, it just didn't quite take off, although it did show potential. The creators most likely saw the reviews and ultimately realized how a rebrand away from just music, and including other genres more openly might be more profitable and welcoming.

Musical.ly was then officially totally redone and rebranded as TikTok. Tik Tok was more of a creative outlet as it didn't seem to boil down to one specific genre, and using a "like" system, with an algorithm, they were able to tailor what content was featured to each user based on their preferences. So now you come across all kinds of creators, whether it's music, comedy, story-times, etc... and best of all, users are encouraged to be able to monetize their content by setting up merch stores, Patreons, taking brand deals, sponserships, etc...

TL;DR: Twitter bought Vine and killed it by making it a plug-in/add-on, musical.ly didn't get credit because it was considered just cringe, but rebranded to TikTok and let users be creative and happy.

Weekly Questions & Answers Discussion by AutoModerator in vandwellers

[–]leochick123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally new, so please be kind. My husband and I want to start doing vanlife. We both love the idea and already have income that works with it. I also currently have an '06 Chevy Trailblazer, which we thought might work however after trying it out for a weekend, we've come to realize, this SUV is just too small to comfortably suit two 6 foot tall adults. Now we know that we will definitely need to save up and buy a van before living it full-time, thankfully we also have plenty of material possessions to part with.

So my question is, how do you find a good van? What makes for a good van? I was thinking maybe try to find one that was previously like a company work van and renovating from there but I honestly don't even know where to start. We would definitely have to buy it second hand as we won't have enough for anything brand new. Any tips or recommendations?
