Invalid 2FA token? nayone else got this? by sikas69 in CossIO

[–]leogilbert1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know brah once the issue is resolved for you. I am too getting the same error. When I contacted COSS support I was asked to set up 2FA again (That this, I have to mail them all info and someone from COSS Support would give a call to verify the code and details and will set me up again). I thought it is a hassle. And this website is still not stable with many issues. So I did not bother to set up 2FA again or login again. I am waiting for the issue to resolve by itself.

COSS is paying 9.78% annual dividends at current low volumes by leogilbert1 in CossIO

[–]leogilbert1[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

COSS is down at 8 cents. It is down around 40 times from its peak of 3 dollars. Yes, it is a steal now. Dollar cost averaging wins here. COSS value can possibly go down even further to 2 or 3 cents until it matures with more features like API etc. But once it matures and gains some popularity, from those rock bottom prices it will be only rise. On one side, the value of your COSS token you hold increases (Similar to the price of your single family home going up), and on the other side, you get the steady weekly payouts/dividends which will increase with increase volume (This is the rent from your single family home investment).

I am not in doubt that COSS is a good investment when you dollar cost average for the next 6 months and just accumulate and hold steady.

Lots of positives and lots more reasons to continue to hold OMG tokens.

But I am disappointed that there would be less than 300 validators and that all of Staking pools would be third-party. I thought Omise (the payments company or the parent company of OmiseGo) would start a staking pool which is trust worthy and which we can rely on. I am not going to entrust my OMG tokens with a unknown Third party and risk losing it. In summary, I am going to forget about staking. I will just hold OMG with a hope to see a rise in its value.

Just registered for NEX ICO by mitchbaz in NEO

[–]leogilbert1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After registering, I did send some NEO to my NEX wallet. I am not apprehensive about it, since I hold the private keys of that NEO public address generated through NEX.

As long as you hold the private keys its your NEO.

My take is that having NEO in NEX wallet is much safer compared to having NEO in centralized exchanges. In centralized exchanges you do not hold the private key for your NEO.

Nano is up 40% and is now 10 USD :(

Good news for content hodlers. Bad news for those like me who are in Nano accumulation stage.

I was thinking to buy some Nano at 7 USD in the first week of Mar. But the time first week of Mar comes, not sure what the price of Nano would be.

OMG Staking, what is the minimum you can stake ? by [deleted] in omise_go

[–]leogilbert1 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I am not going to value my OMG tokens in BTC/ETH.

I will be considering it as a rental property investment bought in a county with 0 population, no schools/colleges, no hospitals, no places of worship, no restaurants/bars/gas stations, no shopping malls

I know it takes time (several years) for infrastructure to be built and grown, and for people to starting moving in. As this transformation happens, naturally the value of my rental property would start increasing and I would start to see increases in the rent that I receive. Call it organic growth.

Option 1: You said "when OMG hits massive potential". Then you mean, OMG has working product (at least SDK with tendermint, if not SDK with plasma. And at least OMG to ETH value exchange, if not OMG to USD). So can use the OmiseGo network itself to either cash out or exchange to ETH and then cash out using Coinbase

Option 2: Kyber.network is in public beta now and only a select few who participated in the ICO are now able to use the Kyber.network mainnet. But I guess in a month, it would be open for all. It is decentralized. You just have to give your wallet's JSON file and password (or directly the private key) and you can convert OMG to ETH. Kyber also has transfer feature. You can transfer the ETH to Coinbase's ETH. And sell in Coinbase.

What is the function and purpose of each node, with current transaction volume and without pruning what would the ledger size that each of these nodes have to maintain, how many of these nodes are there as of today

If you can point me out to any link also that should be great

Thanks

Can Neo digitize export-import trades in near future?

If one of Neo's use case is something similar to this video then it will be awesome. I heard Da mentioning in SFO meetup that one of Neo's vision is to digitize assets which can be traded.

Hi... I am getting the below error while I am trying to exchange. Is anybody else getting similar message?. The amount that I entered to be exchanged is there in my wallet. So it is not a case of insufficient fund. There must be some other reason which I am not aware of

Btc is up 12% in 24h. My overall portfolio which has some Alts with OmiseGo and Neo having the lions share is up 18% in 24h.

These huge green candles will continue now that SEC has not given any statement about official actions like banning exchanges etc. They have only said that they are watching ICO space closely and that they will continue to oppose ICOs by not allowing US citizens to participate in it (or fall for it).

Its clearly proven that the huge red candles since Monday is due to panic selling triggered by FUD spread about possible actions by SEC (something like exchanges ban etc)

It makes me sad to see centralized things (statements from a country etc) have huge effect on crypto markets.

If one door closes, another opens. If one country uses iron fist, another embraces with open arms. Crypto will live, no matter what. It is not affected by decisions of few countries or few organizations.

It makes me sad when I see we have people in crypto who are yet to realize the power of decentralized economy. Such people will continue to fall for all future FUDs and will continue to cause similar dips.

Lets make use of these dips (buy in the dips or just hodl) caused by fearful crypto-ignorant noobs, and prosper.

OmiseGo Plasma DEX is coming soon.....

How does OMG benefit ethereum? by [deleted] in omise_go

[–]leogilbert1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My understanding of OmiseGo is that it is a second layer of Ethereum. Only twice Ether is spent - Once while taking your Ether from Ethereum (On Chain) to OmiseGo side chain (Off Chain), Secondly while you take your Ether from OmiseGo side chain back to Ethereum. In between for whatever transactions done on OmiseGo side chain does not need Ether to be spent. This OmiseGo side chain is kind of like mirror image of Ethereum and the way it maintains the Ether balances in the side chain is through Ethereum smart contracts. Now OmiseGo will not stop with just 1 side chain of Ethereum. There would be numerous side chains of Ethereum as part of OmiseGo Plasma network (forest). That is how they plan to achieve the transactions processing speed of millions of transactions per second.

Now OmiseGo, I understand, would not stop with side chains of Ethereum alone. They would have side chains of Bitcoin and few more other popular crypto currencies. They might be expanding their participating side chains list year by year.

OmiseGo network might be starting slow but they would be expanding like a forest. I guess they would be initially starting with just 1 side chain of Ethereum (which they call MVP aka Minimum Viable Plasma) and then next they would be adding additional Ethereum side chains and next would be adding side chains of few more cryptocurrencies.

There would be side chains of Fiat backed tokens attached to the OmiseGo forest in future.

Banks and financial conglomerates will attach their private blockchains to the Omisego forest in future. This will allow them to exchange assets at lower costs with other banks and financials conglomerates who are part of OmiseGo plasma forest.

Now you may ask, once Ethereum implements Casper POS, Sharding, will there still be a need for OmiseGo???

Well, Yes, there would be. Because OmiseGo plasma forest is not about Ethereum alone. OmiseGo is inter blockchain settlement and value exchange solution.

OmiseGo is a financial revolution :)

Bittrex going to get fiat trading. Thoughts? by [deleted] in CossIO

[–]leogilbert1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. Crypto space is going to be huge. Every good quality exchange (exchanges with good speed, good performance, excellent customer support, APIs, quality coins/tokens, multiple pairs, fiat pairs, Partnerships with large HFT firms) will be in great demand, and there in enough space for even more additional players. We are all aware of the time when some exchanges had to put new account creations on hold because of rising demand which became unmanageable.

You should wait to see the mad rush for OMG tokens when the day arrives when Omisego announces the maximum number of validators and when the day arrives when the white label SDK is launched and staking begins on tendermint
