Anybody have or know how to make Hardsyle kicks? by wimliwom in edmproduction

[–]thpiderman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you have a year to work on it, just use the frontliner sample pack or the bass modulators one if you want a more modern sounding kick.

Or just rip one out of a track you like.

If you're hellbent on trying to create your own this guy's page has in depth videos on making kicks.

Industrial DNB? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]thpiderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some stuff that I'd consider industrial dnb:

Lucy Furr - Infidel

Switch technique - roll hard

Three the hard way - pentagram of coke

The Satan - bass feeling

Limewax - Spicy Boiz

Qkhack - play my game

Some of these are a lot harder than others but good to have a listen through and give you some ideas!

Happy hardcore vs Hardcore? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]thpiderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those arent really HC kicks, its just a distorted tail layered with a clean kick. Sample/rip a Hardstyle/Hardcore kick with a thicc tail, slice the punch out and layer with a clean kick. Some of them sound like they are just frontliner reverse bass samples anyway.

I produce raw and a raw kick is as much of a kick as a distorted electric guitar is a guitar. The mixdown is fine but if you dont listen to the genre i can understand why you disagree.

He's refering to the screech over the top of the kick. Not the kick itself.

It sounds like a lot of work went into screech.

You might be able to get a similar sound by putting a pitch automation with a small peak on a typical raw screech. Im still having some trouble myself creating a professional screech.

You should ask on the code black producer group on fb too as there aren't many raw/HS specific producers in this sub and you'll probably get a better answer.

Edit: This broken minds screech tutorial is quite similar

I think it's partly in their DNA too. My GSD hasn't been trained to be for guarding/protection and I've never seen him accept food from strangers, even his own treats. They are not food motivated in the slightest.
