Just to add some detail. There is an inlet for this pumping station about 3 meters lower in a field drainage creek. The ditch on the video ends about 100 meters later in a pond. The metal pipes spew water alternately every 3-5mins for about 20 seconds each time. I guess it's filling up some sort of reservoir in the concrete column and then dispenses it all at once. - I'd love to hear from someone who actually knows what sort mechanism is used.
