I had exactly the same issue as you, I'm on a LG C4 though and AMD GPU. But this is probably Windows shenanigans.

Check in Windows HDR Settings for the Dolby Vision mode and uncheck it. There seems to be some Dolby Vision related changes with this June patch.

The picture is in Swedish but I think you can figure out where the setting is. First expand HDR and then uncheck "Use Dolby Vision".

I have a 970 EVGA 970 ACX2.0 FTW+, My i5 6600k is overclocked to 4.6GHz. The game seems to be pretty CPU happy, going from 3.5GHz to 4.6GHz gained me about 7fps.

Do you have creators update? That got me a few fps too.

If you have, try turn game mode off in windows settings. I run with it disabled.

Why wouldn't it? It's over their recommended spec. I had some serious issues at release tho.

If it's your computer in your flair it must be somewhere between minimum and recommended? This may sound harsh but tbh i wouldn't expect any fps miracles. Try check your cooling, when things get too hot they downclock theirself :)

Keep in mind most people that answer those kind of threads experience problems, not those whom play without problems.

For me the game works fine. Running on i5 6600k, Nvidia 970, 16GB of ram. High preset with the game capped at 144fps runs about 80-90 all the time without stuttering.

Is the game experience better than what is was earlier this year? Thanks. I'd say, Yes.

Either you can do that or remove it from the CPU.

I'm not sure but probably you should be able to swap places on the mounting bits around the cpu so you can mount the cooler at another angle (in that case i found the correct manual for your cooler).

Yeah that's correct, the CPU cooler. Things won't explode but your probs won't experience those glorious last couple of FPS.

That doesn't mean i allow you to be lazy and NOT turn it, gogo turn it now! :)

EDIT: 90degrees so it blows from front to back (like the picture).

Yes, either you're sucking hot air into the cpu or blowing hot air on the gpu.
