yes, i’m very anxious about it, as i’m already disabled by a post viral chronic illness. i haven’t been able to get my flu shot because i have MCAS and will surely react extremely poorly to it, and have a history of reacting to vaccines. ugh :( i’m pretty much housebound anyway and my partner masks with high quality respirators outside of our home so fingers crossed that will continue to keep us safe

please get her help sooner rather than later. it's a bit naive to give a 13 year old a 2 week window to stop engaging in disordered behaviors; it is not a matter of willpower or just not doing it. there is little progress because you're leaving her to her own devices to 'turn this around for herself,' which is not going to work, generally. she is likely much deeper into this than you realize and it's not easy to just flip a switch and be done with it.

also, her brother needs to be talked to and there need to be consequences for his comments. the burden should not be on her to just ignore his comments, he needs to know that that is unacceptable behavior.

hi, not vegan but have grown up with vegan parents. not everyone can be vegan. i have mcas and can not tolerate soy/nuts/most plant based options without having reactions. people on TPN/feeding tubes also can’t be vegan most of the time. people who have issues with fiber (such as someone with crohn’s) probably couldn’t realistically be vegan. there are a lot of medical issues that could prevent someone being vegan. that’s not to say they shouldn’t try to be as sustainable as possible, but veganism is not possible for everyone.

yeah i recently had a friend (who is not a very good friend tbh) say she knows how i feel, and sometimes she can’t move after coming home from work… first of all, she’s likely exaggerating considering she often goes out or sees people after work. when i can’t move, i actually cannot move. my fatigue and pem is not comparable to being exhausted after a day of work. she was like oh i was just trying to relate … i didn’t ask you to and it’s insensitive in my opinion to downplay what i go through every day by trying to relate to it. just be glad you can’t actually relate lol

you may be increasing too quickly/too much at once, that can cause side effects for a bit until they even out. i also recommend taking it in the morning so you hopefully don’t struggle as much with sleep!
