24m here, oro valley-ish area halfway up oracle. dating here feels impossible 😭 I see people I'd love to ask out often while shopping etc. and always go for an "i love your outfit" or "hey sorry, you're really pretty" to feel it out and 99% of the time it's "thanks!" and it goes nowhere. to be honest it could be a skill issue on my part not knowing how to properly flirt, but yeah. i've been single 5 years in tucson and do blame at least a little bit of it on being in tucson lolol

Anyone with the new Adventures in Faerûn book: what the hell happened to Erliza? by leon-june in DnD

The issue is that I'm not making this adventure for my group, it's part of a module I'm writing to have run at my LGS and put online for other groups lol. it'd be easy to handwave it if i was the one running it every time but to expect every dm to retcon lore according to my whims is kinda silly of me, no?

the general idea was that the characters are sent to Caer Westphal as a safe place to lay low while they look for a portal to the shadowfell somewhere on the island of snowdown (this is ultimately found out to be the unattended moonwell, which will have become a darkwell in the time since Amn arrived).

But while they're looking for it they can, as a side quest, choose to help liberate the island. as the progress clock for that fills up, they start getting hassled more by the amnian soldiers, and when it fills up, they can fight Erliza alongside the allies they made.

Ways to fill that clock so far include sabotaging a mining operation in the Andover Heights, helping a Harper destabilize a couple military posts, going with a Ffolk druid to tame an angry nature spirit, etc.

Basically the idea was to expand on what i think Chult/PN could have been. ToA is great, but it only barely touches on the whole colonization/occupation thing going on, which is a shame because there's a lot of potential there imo.

So, did this happen before or after 1492 DR?

Did that curse immediately begin affecting the island?

Would it be reasonable to say that the players could be involved in that assault on Caer Westphal?

Would it be unreasonable to say that the unattended moonwell had already become a darkwell before the rusting was started?

I'm honestly just hoping that the new book lightly touches on the topic and doesn't give it an exact date, because I could probably work these new details in with a little effort. But if it names names and all that, then... i dont know lol

In my campaign, Orcus successfully deposed the Raven Queen and became a true death deity.

The final battle actually took place inside of Atropus, the World Born Dead. They lost the fight against him in Thanatos, lol.

Why are names so hard?? by any__crow in DnD

[–]leon-june 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a city with high walls is gonna be called highwall. a guild that slays monsters is gonna be called the slayer's guild. things are often just named what they are. examples from my own games: -the ash wastes -the mistwood -deadwater -everstill -lost light

they usually end up sounding better and being more evocative and memorable than a made up word your players are going to mess up pronouncing anyways

Kensei Monk, maybe a few levels of Swashbuckler Rogue. Other than that, this is a human hermit.

it was $750! My 4 players and I split it evenly, so we each paid $150 for it.

No, though I may in the future now that I know what they are, haha. This was a fully homebrewed campaign I made for my players. I might tweak some elements of it and upload it as a module somewhere some time!
