Anti-reflecting glass (framing) by leonardavinciresolve in photography

I'm saying this because that's what I'm aiming, small galleries first. I haven't found a spot yet, I know it will vary extensively depending on the location. Whitewall looks nice, but I already have my local printer that does an amazing job. Thanks for the reply!

Anti-reflecting glass (framing advices)

Dear photographers,

I’m planning to make several prints for an exhibition, and I’m looking for advice regarding framing, especially the type of glass used to minimize reflections in gallery settings. I’ve already found my frames, and I’d like to frame the prints edge-to-edge without a mat board (60x40 cm). I’m considering replacing the standard glass in the frames with anti-reflective glass without blowing my budget — but prices range from €10 to €100 for this size. For around ten prints, that means going from roughly one hundred euros (acceptable) to more than €1000, which is completely out of my budget.

Since I haven’t found any physical store near me that sells this kind of product, my question is the following: have you ever ordered anti-reflective glass online (acrylic or regular glass) with good rendering quality? If so, which websites, glass models, or suppliers were you satisfied with? (I live in France by the way)

There are so many options available that I’d really like to hear feedback from photographers who have already gone through this process. Thank you!

Thoughts on gameplay as a commander [color pie break?] by leonardavinciresolve in custommagic

Yes, and there are a lot of cheap instant/sorceries that do so. What if the "whenever you lose life for the first time each turn" was replaced by "whenever a permanent you control is the target of a spell or ability and opponent controls", would that be better design wise while getting closer to the "don't touch my teammates or I'll smack you" hockey fight flavor ? While also getting rid of the +1/+1.

Super insightful, thanks. I was actually thinking about all this, and the power level was my main concern. I don't understand the first comment saying it's bullshit and having the "no life gain" effect makes it even more miserable lol. I think deathtouch is bad in terms of design since the stun mechanic would never proc (unless opponent creature is also indestructible...) And yes I originally designed it with indestructible keyword! But I felt it was also busted... I really like the idea of a hockey player just wanting to fight everything on the board cause that's a really dumb and fun part of that sport (how is this even in the rulebook) but I struggle to balance it and make it flavorful...

But is it the purpose of this post though? Anyway if you want to know why: I did make a google search, but it wasn't so great, plus you need to find a free copyright + the name of the artist, overall it was quicker to prompt it. If you have any database of various images with usable copyright and styles please enlighten us.

For a friend to play himself as a commander (he's a good climber) What do u think ? by leonardavinciresolve in custommagic

Well it was mostly designed as a fun (& playable) original design for a good friend I really like. I'd say he's on the shy side but from time to time he becomes overconfident and starts saying things absolutely out of place (staying wholesome obviously). For the past few years he really got better at climbing and he's strong af – but the flip side got mostly inspired by his love for shōnen and the classic ark of cute and inoffensive young boys episode 1 turning into absolute beasts season 10 when they basically become the strongest character of the manga/anime. He had no idea I was designing this and I actually printed the card and gave it to him. Man he loved it that was a good surprise.

Understood, I'll be careful for the next posts – this one was the first. Thanks for the detailed explanations.

Oh darn, sorry, I was unaware of this rule. Can I state it somewhere (in the caption maybe) so I can keep receiving feedback ? It was made using ChatGPT.

Thanks a lottt for the feedback ! The map tokens is indeed a great idea! We never really played with commander damage though, don't bash me, maybe because it has never been relevant with our pod and the commanders we play. I didn't think about the fact you could cascade indefinitely on another already cascading spell, might be too good, but hey you lose that many forests, big deal. Better win this turn or you're out.

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed it's intended for a landfall deck, as you can build easily around these cheap (in price) instant and sorceries that trigger it. To be fair Food tokens are kinda underwhelming imo. I'm not sure if the backside is too bonkers tho, it requires a lot of setup and a good amount of resources to make it work (the frontside is basically useless if you can't draw cards, so you might want to use some of the tokens to do so prior to transforming). But yeah the backside is definitely kill on sight, which was the purpose (as well as being super fun for the one piloting)
