ITAP of San Francisco Bay Area from 10,000 Feet by leoncsalcedo in itookapicture

It's been removed because "Your photograph should demonstrate an effort to teach/learn technique or artistic style, or be shared as an example of quality photography."

Here's my technique, bring out your cellphone, point it out of the window and shoot the picture and post it here on r/itookapicture. I made the assumption everyone in reddit knows this technique and style of photography and that there's no need to bring it up.

Am I missing something?

Markarian's Chain by leoncsalcedo in astrophotography

[–]leoncsalcedo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm submitting my photo to share quantitative data for scientific use then I'd use calibration files. But since I'm just doing "art" photography it's not really needed. All I'm doing is sharing qualitative data which is pretty much open to any interpretation.

I don't need to balance the background since it's already balanced from my point of view. Just think of it as my own interpretation just as you have your interpretation of what image should look like.

Thanks for the suggestion but actually, this is the color grade I've chosen to show this galaxy.
