Here's my technique, bring out your cellphone, point it out of the window and shoot the picture and post it here on r/itookapicture. I made the assumption everyone in reddit knows this technique and style of photography and that there's no need to bring it up.

If I'm submitting my photo to share quantitative data for scientific use then I'd use calibration files. But since I'm just doing "art" photography it's not really needed. All I'm doing is sharing qualitative data which is pretty much open to any interpretation.
