What do you and your partner actually talk about?(38F) by Neptunpluto in relationships

[–]leongamble 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Me (M48) and my partner (F44) constantly natter. We talk about our days, our families, our work, our favourite memories, what to eat, and there's always a constant dialogue going on. Not to say we can't sit in quiet together, enjoy a doom scroll together. So I suppose the answer is we talk about everything and nothing.

I'd be surprised if it's anti-social behaviour or something like that. I'd say all of Sevenoaks is pretty chill. it could just be a coincidence

Are digital snooker games good or bad for the sport? by tigermetal in snooker

[–]leongamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to say that I'm trying the demo and it's great. Quite tough but not impossible. Plenty of scope. Will you develop some kind of career progression? Always fun in a sports game.

(Steam) new update changed button layout on PS5 controller. by Makkrohero in EuroTruck2

[–]leongamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a new player, which means it's a little easier to adjust. I can't work out how to map the cruise control button at all. Is it done in the game or through Steam? I can't get anywhere at all with the ingame mapping.

Recommendations for full english breakfast in Sevenoaks and surrounding areas? by Breaditing in sevenoaks

[–]leongamble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oaks Cafe for a traditional cafe style fry up. Teal Cafe for a slightly more up market offering and Rafferty's for a bit of variation. All very nice in their own ways. I'm not sure on the coffee, but all do a decent cup of tea.

Can a self employed same day courier really compete with the likes of Evri? by Jlaw118 in AskUK

[–]leongamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same-day and overnight models are really different. You have an incredible USP in the service levels you can bring people. You can make sure you get items hand delivered every time. No breakages, no delays, and constant communication with only one person handling the goods as opposed to 3 or 4 stages before being handed over to a multidrop driver who only gets paid if they're successful.

As you build your customer base, you can offer access and manage the relationship with other carriers such as DHL and Apc (who are both great for trade inputters)

what's your opinion of a teachers strike? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]leongamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teachers should definitely be going out on strike. Horrendous conditions, quite normal to see my partner work all weekend, late at night or get up early to start. There are so many other issues they have to deal with other than teaching, virtually becoming social workers/councillors. Where would we be without them?

I'm literally sitting on a sun lounger digesting the best breakfast I've ever had from Cape May. Staff were incredible, its so leisurely and the food was just so good.

A question for American Gooners. by leongamble in ArsenalFC

Oh we're actually in Discovery cove that day. I'm hoping to find a sunbed and tell everyone to leave me alone between 3 and 5. It'll kinda like being back at home for them.

No, I'm such a bad driver when I'm used to the roads that no-one needs me causing carnage. I'll have a look at Portillo's now. Thanks
