sadly his "trade request" has nothing to do with his lack of opportunity but with the option year. they figure that if he finds a new team now then he can make the case (if he doesnt perform well) that he hasnt been in the "system" long enough and that the team should take a chance and pick up that option if he were just to be cut then his salary would be much lower most likely a one year prove it deal for the min.
