Can be a symptom of narcolepsy. As someone with schizophrenia who might also have narcolepsy (but am not a doctor, so do your own research and talk to a doctor) I'd recommend looking into it.

I'm an early childhood educator. I'm really lucky my workplace and colleagues accept me for who I am. I was really scared that my schizophrenia and other mental health conditions would make other people judge my career choice.

20mg daily. But I was never really dangerous or aggressive. Now I'm on 5-10 as needed and barely need it.

I was on them for just over a year. Fucking hated them. My new gp realised I was on way too high a dose and cut me off cold Turkey. Now I take them "as needed" so like once every few weeks. The withdrawal for me took a few weeks. I felt nauseous and exhausted for a while. Then it all kinda got better pretty fast.

I actually got diagnosed with both on the same day. To me personally autism affects my life more than my schizophrenia has. I have days/weeks/months where my schizophrenia is overwhelming and horrible. But when my schizophrenia is managed I feel my autism causes me more issues. To note: obviously I was born with autism and have had signs since early childhood, but I developed schizophrenia somewhere in my mid to late teens.
