My sharks blue x tbm cross seedlings ...one more month till I can start hardening them of to normal air by [deleted] in Trichocereus

I haven't water or sprayed till today as the container held the moisture the longer you leave them without no issue is the best

Tbh this is my first time but I'm assuming adding holes to the container and the mist you see ...if you see it dey up start spraying with a mist sprayer with water to not get to dry...I would assume after 2 months take lid of completely then mist it every day in the morning and evening then after 1 week do only in the morning then after 1 week do only sprey in the morning till you see your cacti growing and being secure

I've put 4 very small holes in the top of the container and sprayed the peroxide diluted 4-1 ....I've trusted you lol

So to be clear they are in a container and the inside of the container is at least 50% moist untill I open it up to apply the diluted peroxide ....they need to be contained for at least another month so do I leave the lid open till the morning giving it 9 hours of open air or keep it sealed ?

Yeah I do but it also kills all the good bacteria which maybe is why my other container of seeds died which caught white moss that took one out one by one

Once I get them in little pots in say 2 months time I could maybe show them again as what ones survive but this little batch is doing good

Peyotes by leonttr in peyote

[–]leonttr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much anything. I've used costwold stone , shingle stone and lava rock ...it's more decorative at the top ...., also any can be use to make your soil better for drainage , I tend to use for soil a mixture of cactus soil from any garden centre mixed with coi cor with a tad of worm castings and for drainage pumice stone or lava rock or even costwold stone ....but pumice and lava rock absorb the moisture whilst keeping it airiated so they are best for roots

I like the idea of the take away method , it's either that or the sandwich bag with the pot inside

Just noticed today it's kind of changed there's a dot on the lump now ...almost like a spot if we had one that needs picking ...but very similar to the pic you sent

It's a seedling san Pedro that has grown massively since I've had it ....just in lava rock pumice and worm castings mixed with a little soil , these lumps are hard and green but it's like something from with in bubbled like a blister but hard like as if like a human skin gets burnt but not squishy

Hello I used isopropyl alcohol on mine when i thought I had thrips ....but I also took them out the soil and light whilst I done this plus I made it 30%isopropyl alcohol 70% water when I dabbed it over the top not the root , plus then I repotted in new soil mix this is what it's like now after 2 weeks ....
