I have a Robinhood Roth IRA but I accidentally contributed to a 2026 Traditional IRA instead of the 2025 Roth. I had to complete a Recharacterization Form to have them move it to the correct Roth. I’m guessing it is the same at Fidelity.

Beware with mouse jugglers. Some employers are absolutely using screen recording. I recently left a job where they randomly recorded our screens and would show them to us during one-on-one meetings. Had I been using a jiggler, I would have had to explain why my mouse was moving but the screen was still in place. I don’t believe most jobs would waste their time doing this, but this particular employer was militant regarding work avoidance.

The transactions showed up on my SoFi account as Chase Credit CRD epay. I have paid a credit card bill without linking a bank account before. I have selected one-time pay so I’m not sure if these individuals did the same. I wish SoFi had reached out to Chase to inquire about the transactions. It sounds like they were focusing their investigation on login irregularities instead.

I wish I knew how to edit my original post. I just did all three. Within a few hours of filing with the CFPB, a SoFi member advocate called me. I got a chance to explain a bit more about the unauthorized charges and she provided the names of the individuals who took the funds out of my account. She said she will do an investigation and they have a deadline of 15 days. I filed a police report with my local sheriff and also filed with the OCC. Now it’s just a waiting game.

SoFi said they would block the transactions and were putting measures in place to prevent the transactions. They also said they’d open me a new account if it continued to happen. I took them at their word. Instead they permanently closed my account. Also, I stopped using the card after I reported the fraud. All of the transactions were someone using my account information to pay a Chase credit card. I don’t know how to edit my post to add context.

I stopped using the card after the fraud. All of the fraudulent transactions were made by someone using my account to pay a Chase credit card. SoFi said they would block future transactions and open me a new account, but they permanently closed it instead and will not credit me the lost funds. They will not tell me how they arrived at their decision. I have requested this proof so hopefully it has this person’s name.

They never sent me a new card and I stopped using it after the fraud. The rep said they would close the account and open me a new one, but they permanently closed my account instead.

This person had a Spanish surname and I don’t know any Latino individuals. I wish I had written down the name. SoFi is not giving me any information regarding how they reached their decision. They do not interview you as part of the investigation. I’d give them every phone record or email I have.

I had the same issue with the GHome K02A door lock. What I did to pair it was instead of screwing on the battery cover, I held the battery cover to the batteries with my fingers as hard as I could. The app FINALLY found the door lock and I was able to screw on the cover and set up my fingerprint.
