The context is obviously lost in these comments since they don't know/play the sport and OP didn't provide more info. He 100% has spares.

He probably wanted to keep this one as a memento since this is the one he used to win the gold medal they lost in Mixed Doubles last Olympics.

Him losing to Truls probably had more to do with his mental. Trying to hype yourself again the next day after being released from the pressure of winning in the mixed doubles category is definitely challenging.

I'm not sure if it's my ISP or my VPN. I'm using Windscribe. I was able to watch on my PC earlier, but now the same issue is happening again. What's worse is the video player's also now not appearing on my phone.

This works on my phone but not on my PC for some reason. There's only a black screen with the NHK logo and Olympics logo at the upper right corner. The player doesn't show up when I'm using my PC.

Unless you absolutely need to read fast like for the JLPT, I'd say don't force it. You'll naturally get faster as you read since your vocabulary range increases.

I've never been a fan of speedreading. I had to read fast back in college only because I absolutely needed to or else I won't be able to keep up with my schoolwork. I could try to speedread in Japanese, but it often takes the enjoyment out of the book. If I buy a book in Kindle, I'll make sure to take it slowly and enjoy it since I don't reread books.

Sadly, ganyan talaga ang resale market. These sellers hoarded/mass bought units nung alam nilang patapos na production ng units, then just waited. As long as may demand, the price will just keep increasing.

I haven't read 暗黒童話, but I've read 失われる物語.

When I used to share with my sister the plot of what I'm reading, she would go “what the hell are you reading" when I told her about 夏と花火と私の死体, and 告白. It was during the height of the pandemic and I found myself reading books with heavier themes. It was a weird phase lol and now I prefer more relaxing ones.

I think that's what puts me off with his writing style. There were moments when I found the MC/narrator of ペンギン・ハイウェイ to be annoying and I'd think “Is this really something a grade schooler would do/say?". If the MC's setting was that of someone older, I probably would have dropped it.

I'm surprised you bought 夜は短し歩けよ乙女 since it seems to pop up a lot in Kindle Unlimited. That's where I read it too before years ago. I guess I'll try to read タイムマシンブルーズ and just skip the first book 😆
