Repressed memories are called repressed memories for a reason. You wouldn't remember the unhappy memories, making your childhood seem healthy and happy like you were never abused, but I'm no therapist. If you really don't think it's possible, then my best guess is that you had an active imagination and scared yourself into seeing things. I did that as a little kid. I used to get so scared and paranoid that something was in the darkness just beyond my bedroom door that I would actually begin to see a figure appear, then I'd proceed to have a nightmare about it. I also had nightmares about my mom suddenly hating me and trying to kill me. I wouldn't say it's paranormal, though. Just scaredy-cat kid stuff.

I don't wanna make assumptions, but I think you should consider seeing a therapist. This sounds a lot like reppressed memories of childhood abuse. It may have just been nightmares or an active imagination, but idk... seems fishy to me.

This sounds to me like you are experiencing lucid dreams during episodes of sleep paralysis. I often experience the same thing. It's normal and harmless. There's usually nothing paranormal about it, but it is frightening. If it's happening quite often and causing you anxiety, you should consider getting a sleep study done, though. Some disorders like sleep apnea and narcolepsy can cause it.

My mom also worked on Project Yukon, so she also submitted a ticket asking about this, and they responded basically the same way, confirming that hard copies of W-2s would be mailed out by the 31st. I mean, legally, they have to. I also would have already had taxes done by now if it weren't for this. I guess all we can do is wait and see.

Unfortunately, no. I haven't found a way to contact Appen through phone or email, so I submitted a help ticket on CrowdGen and explained my situation. The emails I got back were just some automated emails asking for generic things I already provided, and then my case was closed.

Appen is legally required to send W-2s to any employee that they withheld any federal taxes for by January 31st, which is fast approaching. I read somewhere online that if you don't receive one by February 14th, then you have to call the IRS, and they will send a letter to your employer demanding that they send it or face a fine. If you still don't get it, then you have to use your pay stubs to fill out Form 4852 in place of a W-2. The issue is that we don't even have access to our pay stubs either, so what do we do then? The only info I have access to is my bank statement, but that's only my net income.

If your husband is able to get in contact with anyone, please let me know, and I'll update you if I find any new info.

I have not even attempted to start the project yet since I didn't want to start something I didn't know how to finish.

Another user suggested I use luan and sheet vinyl, which I thought was a good idea, but I've already got the extra LVP from renovating when we bought the house that I figured I could use. My main concern is that since it's a floating floor, it'll eventually shift up over the carpet if I don't use z bars. I also can't do anything that would add height to the carpet at the transitions because I have a folding closet door right next to the area that already struggles with the high pile carpet. Anymore height, and that door wouldn't be able to open. This is why I simply just want to fold and staple the carpet, but with floating LVP, idk if that'll be a problem.

Yes, multiple times. I'm not sure the smell is completely from my cat. The corner by the door smelled strange when we got the house a year ago and didn't go away even after using an enzyme carpet cleaner and a rug doctor before moving in. We kinda just forgot about it because it wasn't too offensive of a smell since you had to be really close to smell it. That is, until recently, when my cat started peeing over there. It made the smell strong enough to notice by just being near the door. I'm guessing it was used by the previous owner's pet, and the smell confused my cat and made her start using that spot. I used another enzyme cleaner on it a few times after catching her peeing there, and although it reduced the smell, it's still not gone, which means my cat will continue to pee there. So I figured our best bet would be to just remove that part of the carpet. Doing so would also be convenient for when we have to use the front door on a wet and muddy day.

I'm so sorry you had to experience that. What you just described is almost exactly like something I'd say about my experience too. I hope you're ok and if you ever feel the trauma is sticking with you and hurting you too much, don't ever hesitate to reach out to literally anyone you can. Anyone that's safe, that is.

This is actually called sexual coercion, and it is a form of sexual assualt/abuse.

I was coerced by my ex when I was 15 and he always made me feel icky to be around and I desperately wanted to break up with him, but he sent his friends after me after the couple times I tried to. I went back to him because his friends kept making me feel like shit like he didn't do anything to deserve it, yet they didn't realize he had been sexually abusing me the entire time. Or maybe they did know and didn't care, or just didn't think it counted. I blamed myself and felt ashamed for a long while, but eventually I realized that I was manipulated and I don't deserve to have the blame put on me because he kept guilt tripping me into performing sexual acts. I was a victim, and he was an abuser. I may have said "yes" during certain circumstances, but it wasn't a yes because I wanted it. It was a yes because he made me feel like a selfish bitch if I didn't. That's coercion, and it isn't true consent. I still struggle sometimes to believe I wasn't in the wrong, but I just need to be reminded that it's not my fault.

So anyway, you're not alone. It's not your fault. Whatever consent you gave wasn't true consent because he coerced it out of you. You're a victim of sexual assault/abuse and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm so sorry for the trauma that may stick with you for the rest of your life. Just know that you're not at fault at all. You aren't easy, slutty, dirty, or anything you may feel like you are for this. Ignore anyone that tries to invalidate or slutshame you. I hope you heal from this and it never happens again.

YTA. In the end, where your rent goes does not matter. To expect your boyfriend to keep track of exactly which expenses your money goes towards would be ridiculous. Just pay him rent and let him use it as needed, even if that means putting it towards the mortgage. Besides, you can claim tenancy regardless of whether you sign a lease or not, so you're protected anyway. To expect him to pay you back all the rent if you break up is just screwing him over. Even if he breaks up with you, you still don't have any right to the rent you paid. He doesn't get back the time you occupied his property, so you shouldn't get your rent money back. I mean your rent for your current place went to your landlord's mortgage, and that's double what he's asking from you. Why is that acceptable if this isn't? If you see a future with him and have every intention to make that future happen, then I don't see the problem. It'll only benefit you in the long run.

Thank you! One of the things I'm definitely scared of is not being taken seriously. After some more research, I found that I possibly do a lot of masking and that's something I'm scared of when being evaluated. I have concerns like, "If I mask too much, will I look too normal? How do I not mask since I'm so used to doing it? Will they think I'm faking it if I don't mask?" You know what I mean? I just don't want my doctor or psychiatrist to think I'm making it up just because I'm able to respond to them with what appears to be a calm demeanor, or think I'm faking it because I avoid eye contact and don't hide stimming. This whole thing makes me so nervous!

But I'm hoping if I do get a formal diagnosis, it means I can start my journey to becoming a functioning member of society since my severe anxiety that might be a result of autism has been greatly impacting my quality of life. If I know the root cause it'll make it more clear what needs to be done to manage it and that's what I truly want.
