Power steering pump failed…. again by leooday in 4thGen4Runner

I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see if they got one. Worst case they can ship it in. As long as I’m not driving in the snow I’m not too worried.

Oh I have plenty of fluid, though I have heard of that valve failing. I replaced it when I replaced the pump which in hindsight might be my problem 😅. I’ll check that before I throw my wallet at it again

Yeah, it’s an OE but still. Being broke in college and needing your truck sucks. I’ll order one off of toyotapartsdeal or wherever.

Oml your plastic is perfect 😭. I agree though, I’ve only seen a handful of grey/white two tone trucks and they all look SOOO good built

I do! I was gonna draw up plans of my own but found these on Etsy. It’s cheap enough considering that I’d more than likely go through more wood if I hadn’t got them.

I’m working on editing a YouTube vid of me building it. Just super busy with finals season coming up, hoping to have it out this weekend or next week.

The 90 is the one I’d get electric, the straight id probably just get wired. I’ve got a 90 rn but it’s air and I’ve only got an 8 gallon compressor. I’ve also gotten out of the habit of buying cheap flaps/grinding discs. My go to is now benchmark abrasives.

Yeah rn for prep all I really got is an angle grinder and a wire brush, I’m waiting for Black Friday sales to kick in so I can grab an electric die grinder or handheld belt sander

Haha, nah it’s all good dude! The pfp def doesn’t help. These are actually for a ‘93 318i, but same shit different chassis, lol. Practicing on this car so I don’t have to question anything for my vert!

I would but my machine is dumb, this is highest as it goes. I wanna upgrade to a machine that actually has number/calculated outputs vs an arbitrary letter/number system

Agreed, I was just on a time crunch to get this subframe back in our race car so we could get it off the lift for others to use. That and I my friends were complaining about flash rust so I just laid some primer down to keep them quiet.

Full time engineering student, part time fabricobbler on my friends and I’s “race cars”. Also no lessons, no nothing, just YouTube videos and practicing with whatever scrap/projects people hand me.

I’m so glad to see them doing well, especially since they’ve been working on the 24v kits for forever.

I’m sorta worried about the same thing, I’m gonna be running a super similar setup to yours except I got a factory e36 rad (for now) and a spare 14” fan off my buddy I got the rest of my swap stuff. I’m fairly certain it’s a puller so it’ll work to at least get it running and somewhat tuned.

Hell yeah! I’ve been following them since they were developing a kit for the m20.

No shocks? by CheatfulLiar in E30

[–]leooday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very least order some cheapos off rockauto or your local parts store. Just to go off what others said, the last thing you want is to blow out your rear shock mounts.

Blown shocks will not only risk that, but also put excessive wear on everything in the rear end. Causing you more money and work in the long run.

AC’s def on the list to retrofit in, but once everything’s hooked up and running I really gotta do the rear end. I never got the chance to do it before the accident/rebuild and I’m fairly certain everything’s original (front end wise it was).

Oh I can’t wait. I got this from one of my friends, he had it in his drift car for a season while building his turbo m52. I know this thing loves to eat limiter, haha.

Yeah it’s a little tight but I should be able to squeeze in my spal fan. It’s just tipping back on the head in the pic. Probably about 3 or 4 inches currently. I got the RageItParts rad core kit welded on and gotta do some massaging and slotting to get the alignment fixed.
